this is a pic of the doof doof setup i had in my first vl.

so much power it wasn't funny.

haven't thrown it in the current vl, its to much weight(all the mdf etc), theft issue and you can't really enjoy it without disturbing other peoples peace.

Schnieder make electrical contactors, circuit breakers and stuff like that. Surely, it couldnt be the same company?

What amps are those? I've never seen one with those analog meters on them.

german company, truth be known the gear is not made there however.

all the schneider gear i look at now, seems like real cheap garbage, seems like they have changed their target market towards the lower end.

those vu meters, are awesome, they make it so easy to see if the signal is clipping.

the large amp has a remote gain controller for the cab, that is awesome as well, so you can drop the bass when you want.

the subs were only single voice coil 4 ohm, was wired in parallel and bridged mode on amp, so it was operating at 2ohms, i think the bigger amp is a bit over a genuine 400wrms in that configuration, can't recall exactly would need to look it up again.

400wrms is pretty impressive, not record breaking bt i bet the sound was great!! and having a sub control in the cabin would be great i have to climb over my seats to play with the gains i think earthquake is or was making amps with analog readouts on them aswell, although i have never seen that kind of feature on most brands, only earthquake

Here are pics of my daily driven VS Series 2 'S' Pack with the recent stereo install. Front splits and rear parcel shelf speakers are located in the factory positions.

Shopping List;

Alpine IVAD105E (6.5" LCD PulseTouch DVD Screen Head Unit - DVD-R/-RW/DivX/MP3/AAC/WMA Playback).
Alpine SPX177R (Type 'X' Front Splits)
Alpine SPR17C (Type 'R' Rear 6")
Rockford Fosgate T4004 (Amplifier)
Rockford Fosgate T5001BD (Amplifier)
Rockford Fosgate P2 Subs x 2 (PS12S4)
Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Capacitor

Dynamat (Sound Deadener) installed in the Front Doors.
High Quality cabling and circuit breakers used throughout.
Remote Amplifier Controller for Gain and Crossover Frequency Adjustment - (Installed just under steering wheel to the left).
Sub box is sealed.

The sound of this system is very clear, crisp and loud, and with the sealed sub box, the bass is very responsive and accurate. Both music and dvd's sound brilliant.

Contact:
Alberts Car Stereo Bunbury - Nathan (08) 9791 5581

Enjoy,
Matt

haha i was just about to say mate why in such a nice car such as a VT the subs looks like they just dumped in there, What's your plans for it? will they just stay like that or are you planning on making custom boxes so it actually fits in the boot really nicely?

Love the DVD player matches the inside of the car well

mate that is an amazing job. I have no idea where you would even start to try and build a boot layout like that. how does it sound?. To be honost I am not really into stereos but a job like this needs to be appreciated and is good to see that there are people out there that do the job properly weather it be stereos, paint, engines or whatever. congrats
