I will leave it there for regency, all im changing is the BOV and wheel... leave all the easy stuff to remove on the car such as eboost, parcel shelf etc so they dont go searching for expensive and hard things for me to fix

Remove the Eboost, if they see it or other performance related mods they may decide to take a fine tooth comb to it....

Yea take it off.
Its an obvious no no.
Just cause that copper missed it dosent mean another 1 wont.

Regency will find it and tell u to take it off.
And then if you ever put it back on.
As i said b4.
Just cause that copper missed it dosent mean another 1 wont.

And im guessing theres some fine or something for putting something back on a car once you have been through regency and taken it off.

Momo race is fine thats what ive got. 330mm might be the smallest you can go so you might have a problem there mate. Ring car toys are ask them, they'll be able to let you know.

Take the eboost of - not allowed to raise the boost above standard as far as im aware.

When they went over mine they just checked standard things like window washers, air vents, lights, brakes, exhaust noise, ride height, tyre tread, seat belts, seats mounted properly, steering lock, key out of the barrel when in on position, cut metal under parcel shelf ec. they do a check over through the engine bay but looking for things that stand out/look out of place. i didnt have a over boost valve and they didnt say anything.
The guys who checked me were all pretty cool. I think if you go in with negative attitude they will give you more of a hard time. I have a hole cut in the engine bay where the piping goes through and no **** there were 5! of them all checking it out, including the head inspector. But the guy said he woldnt worry with it as its forward of the suspension and not through a structual part - i did have it checked by a pro before hand though and he said i shouldnt have a problem. My heart was going crazy when all these inspectors walked over to take a look though!

Anyway good luck with it mate!

Sorry to hear Levi, well im not gonna go bad mouthing the police as i have just spent nine months trying to get in lol. But i do know that unless the things you were defected for are safety related or equalling more than 3 seperate conditions then you are able to take it to a police station. I got defected for a horn not working and 4bald tyres and i was able to take it to the Gawler police station, the lady didnt even come out i just paid my $22 and that was it.

also as far as im aware isotta is the only steering wheel that comes with adr compliance. After extensive conversations with numerous people they reckon that its a myth about momo being legal. Alot of the legalities come down to (as previously mentioned) the boss kit. Im not saying momo is illegal just that isotta (all of them) come with an adr compliance sticker.

Speak with Autosport on Magill road, you will find the Momos are ADR compliant for the very reason I mentioned earlier, the collapsable Boss.

i got a copy of the paperwork...it states momo wheels are certified to a european regulation and hence comply with ADR 10 and are legal to use on non-airbag cars in aust. but it mentions nothing about boss kits, it just says the wheels are legal and then lists the ones that are fine to use.

what complete BS, whats this the 4/5 vl in the past few months thats been defected?? if were not driving like a hoon leave us the fark alone to enjoy our pride and joy. so what if the rims are 1 or 2 inchs too big whoopee overall the car is prob. in better condition than other stock shiite boxes u see and about aftermarket steering wheels, its not like the stock vl s/wheel is a cutting edge design of safety. mayb if the factory vl s/wheels had an air bag in them and we r putting on a/market ones, than yeh i see a point for leaving it on. but come on...

i see soooo many absolute dungas and it shiits me knowing they can drive around knowing they will prob. never get defected. seriously what would u rather own?? a stock POS "insert shiit box here" with old worn fcuked suspension or a car that might b a smidge too low but will handle and stop better than the stock POS. we take pride in our cars and yet we r targetted?? joe blow can drive around with that rusty, fcuked up worn and smoky shiit box...but its alright bcos its "stock". get farrrked

blue86calais good luck when u go thru, when can i join the club mr piggy??
