You havent got a picky enough cop yet.

Any replacement tyre needs to have a load and speed rating that exceeds the ratings on the placard in the car. Its on the vicroads website.

Its a crap technicality but thats how it is.

Ill be running them again once the new car is on the road.

I think any DOT approved tyre should count as a street tyre.

thats what im doing as i have heaps of spare calais rims
im taken them to 8-8.5"

how much does it cost to have a calais rim taken from 6 inch to 7 (i assume mt street radials will fit on that)

Yep ive been waiting for a thread like this to pop up im on 18in tyres was nankangs 10.4@137mph now trying falkens 10.3@135mph was going for 140mph on streeters recently got 139.1mph,But this is exactly i thought would happen a big discussion on what is a street tyre everyone has diffrent opinions,I say all good but i think i run true street tyres

thank you again. none of the mt series tyres are allowed, they are not a street legal tyre.

how much is that setting you back / do u need to modify rear guards for that width?? that would give you what the ability to run a 255 or so if camber etc was set up right no ??
