My VL Special Edition 5 Speed (gas)

G'day everyone this is my VL special edition 5 speed on gas as the title suggests

Current mods:
extractors, 2 1/2" hotdog exhaust, 15" mags(fronts) and stockies on the back. HKS pod filter, BT1 springs (original), advanced timing and a 5" monsta tacho. Est. KW 100rwkw

Story:
Ive owned the car for about 8 months and thus far have replaced almost everything lol! Being on gas i though it would seriously lag behind the other VL 5 speeds on petrol but through friends with advanced knowledge on VL's has helped me to get the most of of this car with my very limited funds.

I have now fallen in love with GAS, i never thought id see the day but here i am. The car itself isnt much to look at (paint missing or faded on the strips, that little front end damage and a bit of cancer on the left side underneath the rear window. Trough advancing the timing have tasted the great potential GAS actually has.

Future plans:
Turbo (isnt it obvious , suspension, decent sound system, bigger mags, paint job, the list is neverending!!

Well i looked up the VIN number and it said it was a SL/executive so its a colmination of the both so i spose that pretty special made in adelaide 1988 etc. I took the stripes off it 2.

I put that intake pipe on myself its like 80ml heater hose lol it fit perfectly around my mixer so ye i clamped it on and then the pod. It works really well and the sound of the pod is deep which sounds really different. Its also effective cuz the pipe is obviously round and the air doesnt swirl around in the pipe not like the factory "ribbed like" hose that comes standard out the intake.

Glad you liked
cheers for the comments
Stefan

Well an airflow meter only regulates the air fuel mixture for petrol where gas has a mixer (which you can see the pipe is connected to) which you adjust the air & fuel mixture (theres a screw at the side you turn to lean or richen the mix). I have also noticed that having the airflow out when running gas it seems to breath alot easier and seems less restricted ie the pod u can hear sucking alot more than with the airflow on. Mind you i do have the airflow meter in the boot for emergencies if i needed to use petrol.
im learning alot about gas as i go but ye i love it
