VST20 not selling the motor

575hpi I was thinking of using the electric windows in my daily driver but make me an offer and I'll let u know. As for the sticks they fell out of the car when it came off the truck and that's where the towie put them.
He was driving home from brissy and made it to Bowen and apparently he fell asleep and run off the highway. Doesn't look as bad in the pics, the whole car is bent both length ways and cross ways to give u an idea the sub frame has been kinked in two places and torn open, u can't even push the pedals in as the floor is bent into them.

Yeah just the parts around the front windows. Do you get what I mean? The Black parts going up the sides, I think theres like 4 pieces in total (coz's there 2 corner pieces for the bottom also). How badly is the passenger side on cracked? I'll give you $20 for them if they are in decent nick.

Jason.

No Boost, I'm Jason. And you are? Post up some pictures of your new car. Congratulations on the buy. Hope to see your driving out and about soon when my car should be going.

You also might want to find out if your vl has a series 1 or series 2 block, because I think 86 vl's came out with series 1, which require a whole lot more f*cking around to turbo.

Jason.

Yeah they are a cu*nt of a thing to get off hey Larry/Jay (which one do I call you by?). Tried to get one off at a wreckers and ****ed it so I cracked and left.

On another note, Head finally went back on today . Unfortunately, it came back off shortly after but because butter fingers dropped the Hex Key into the engine. Lol sorry Matt, don't beat yourself up over it. Happens to the best of us . I've started pulling the sump off so hopefully we can get it out this week sometime without to much trouble and then the head back on the car and then it going because I am really keen to get it going again. Tonight was a little dissapointing but ohwell **** happens.

The hex key definetely wasn't in the head but, or under this little bridge thing that Ed suggested, so it must have gone to the sump, correct?

Jason.

Munch Munch hex keys for lunch if you can't find it!!! It will be there somewhere... Sorry I still haven't had a chance to get over and check it all out Jason, uni is farked at the moment.

Larry: I will give you a carton for the windscreen out of the white wreck provided it doesn't have any cracks and I will come and take it out myself, sound ok???... you name the drink... May also be interested in a few of the trims, depending on condition and what you've got.

Foney: That sucks about your old rocket, does he want to sell the engine and gearbox at all???

Tim: Let me know if your heading out the drags definately and I will come out for a look.

Matt: Hurry up and get the Maroon rocket RWC and sold... 6Boost manifold meet ta51

Dean

Lol thanks for breaking the news Tim. Yeah I'm over this converting at the moment it's just proving to be way to difficult. Exams are starting next weeeeeeeeek! Sus as. I need to concentrate on my exams ofcourse more so then the car.

New plan of action, Get the car going and sell it in like 4-6months time. Save money inbetween then and buy a calais/vl that's already done up. Might even try to find a 5speed one this time around. I am dissapointed in myself but I have given it a fair bit of thought and I reckon this is for the best.

Jason.

Awesome larry, check it out for me... I don't want any cracks as this car will need to be roadworthy in a few months time. What kind of alcohol do you want? I will pick it up sometime this week if you want.

Jason ... what can I say ... SOFT, maybe you should reconsider doing a stock turbo setup. I think most people will agree that a standard turbo set-up on a de-compressed engine with na injectors and computer will work fine. It will give you more re-sale on your car when you sell it and buy this vlct. Matt and I were going to put his rebuilt t3 and manifold on our red vl which has a cooler already, how about instead you put the t3 on your car and we will put the t3/t4 on our car, with a cash adjustment obviously. Think about it...

Dean

Yeah Dean I'll think about it but the truth is it's to hard trying to organise you comes to come around and do everything and I really just want the car going soon. Brakes are going to cost way to much to get put on to. I'm happy to wait for a while anyway and the money on the resale I can just make selling this gear.

Jason.

Sounds like you have heaps of interest, I was thinking about buying the turbo off you, but o'well.
Buying a turbo might be the better option in the end if your current car is a junka. I've never seen it close up personally, but I was glad I bought mine how I did and not do one up.. PAyed about $6000 after rwc and had to drive it up from Armidale in NSW but was worth it in the end. There are some sweeet real turbos around for good prices. Even if you have to fly down and drive one up you'll pay less from somewhere where theres millions of them. Anyway I'm at home tommorow if you want the extractors.
cheers.
Larry, trying to think of what I might need off you but can't atm. Post a pic of the engine bay, want to see how that cooler piping goes.

Nah my car is fine, has a respray, interior is nice and tidy and well looked after, sounds nice I reckon and looks nice on the road. So it's not really ****, I am just over the idea of turboing. I will wait a while and just buy something that's done up. Like you said, even if I have to go downsouth to aquire something and drive it back up.

Jason.

Nah Tim I didn't get any pics of the engine bay, car is about half stripped now. All it was was an avo piping setup in a really dirty engine bay.

Jason buying a car already done up will save u alot of money provided u don't get one that has been abused. The one I just bought had alot of goodies already done which I thought would save me alot of money, however I didn't plan on the engine and diff needing a rebuild So it is going to cost me alot more than I had planned on

Why do you have to rebuild mate? I thought you were buying that gear on the condition it was fine to be used straight up? That's fully gay eh.

I plan on not buying another car until the right one comes along!

Tim I might come get them pacemakers tomorow. Will call you first ofcourse.

Jason.
