Good turn out last night at the drag point. Few good races.

Was an even race with me and a Rx7 unill third gear then i started to pull away.
WAs a VL station wagon V8 i think. Rocked up and droped a mad skid for us.

Anyway. I got my intercooler installed at bob hawkins/Chip tourqe who i fully recommend.
If u mention Brentin or FOney recomended he will look after you. BUT DON"T F CUK HIM AROUND He is a buzzy man and has no time for dreamers. Not that any would hang out here.
THe mans a genious. and can do anthing.
As for the Wolf 3d u want to install id reccomend Mircotech as they are a better computer with more functions and more people around town can tune them
I could load new maps in the computer if i wanted it's so user friendly.
The Lt-8 is a good model. Ask bob about that as well.
Highley REcommended.

That VL that crashed dunno who it was MOST LIKELY SUM 18 YEAR OLD THAT JUST GO IT.

Jokes!!

CHeers.

Wolf 3d's are better than a microtech dude.. Not by heaps, but if you have the money to spend, Wold 3d's are the better way to go.

Your right about microtech's being more user friendly in the tuning scene though.

Although, Wolf 3d's are pretty much able to be tuned by most people these days too.

I dont have personal reasons myself as to why I think theyre better, but have heard and read information about them. Also, performance shops recommend them, but it also depends on what your wanting. If you have the money then they would say go for a 3d. But if you want money for value, then most people would be happy to settle for a microtech.

In the end it depends how serious you are on getting the max performance/power output out of the car.

ok i just read a write up on both the computer systems. And both current top of the line Mircotech and wolf 3D cost the same, and Also have the same functions. plus or minus a few thing that arnt really important anyway like resolution ect.
Micro is at 500rpm as the wolf is at 125rpm.
Both diagnostic lights and hand contoller options fule and maps ect,
Both australian made.. REF( PAGE 93 AUGST 2004 STREET COMMODORES)
So it really comes down to personal choice.
But i reccomend Mircotech as u can download the softwear from the net plag ya laptop in and BOOM, U see everything in a user friendly enviromentl.

SO yeah, Your choice.

Dude, thats saying something to you isnt it. I don't own a car (not atm, but I have owned one ****head) but still know more about what computer is better (for a VLT in this circumstance anyway) than you..

I also DO own a computer.

Really, when it comes down to it Foney, your a ****ing retard. I'm going down to townsville to look at a car tomorrow, and if I end up buying it, I personally want to run you down at ingham you ****ing big talker ok? You seem to think your the biggest and best person in QLD with your VLT, and definatley are NOT by a long shot.

See you down at ingham one way or another buddy

OMG, FONEY YOUR A TOOL!

Stop making things ****ing personal. You've got serious issues, maybe a holiday from the site would do some justice...

But yes, The Wolfs rated higher than the microtech LT8.
I know LINK is great for VL's

Green VK is n/a, manual. Its a really nice conversion, credit to pastical!

Hey Kayleen I just realised, with the help of ed, that your "Hottie" on this forum. How come you weren't at the cruise? Would have been good to see you there! Don't sell your rocket either, fix the clutch and paint it pink, you'll regret it if you sell it.

Foney - To say resolution isnt important is foolish, 500rpm intervals are 125rpm intervals are a resonable difference. I think thats a bit more important than diagnostic lights?

Microtech seem good for a lot of drag work e.g. a lot of time at full throttle but dont seem as popular for partial throttle applications (yes there is actually a position between on and off ). <-- that wasnt aimed at anyone here, but you see it all the time at the drags etc

REplied to your PM PhatVL. I would reccomend a trans cooler to anyone with an auto trans in Townsville, worked or not. They'll make any trans last a hell of a lot longer. I even put one on the VS that the missus drives.

wasn't planing on going, but heaps of people are telling me to go. haha. So dunno yet.

Its only NA at the moment, but has had a bit of work done to it. I'm planing on putting a rb25det head on it soon. My poor gearbox is gonna hate me when i do that. Second gear synchro is gonna jump out of the box and run away... Still only have 25 spline drum diff on it also. I don't care if i kill that but. I got another 2 sitting behind my shed.

lol @ pastical - second gear does sound abit suss i must admit, when i seen you the other day i heard it grind pretty hardcore. Put a 25 head on that thing and i think your gonna need more than 2 spare diffs.

PhatVL - Transcooler is a must, specially if you wanna run 14 pound.

Foney - I heard you took your car out to the drags saturday night. Someone told me you only ran a 14.6 and I told them to ***** off cause your car would have to run way quicker than that eh !!!! So what was your time? Matt, the fella that did the first skid on the cruise, his car ran a 14.4 with 6 pound, fmic, and wold3D, so i reckon your time would have had to have been closer to low 13's.

Dean
