Pintara 5 speed into VL manual non-turbo

The 5spd gearbox in my vl has kicked the bucket and the car is unmoveable

Does anybody know for a fact what make gearbox comes factory on a VL commodore RB30 nonturbo 5speed manual.
I originally thought Baug warner t5 box came standard, but a mechanic recently informed me that this was incorrect, and that there was a standard factory baug warner 5spd in them.
When calling various wreckers looking for a second hand box, i was told by the gearbox factory in greenacre that the factory box on the RB30 VL's was a Nissan box, and not a baug warner. does anybody know the make/model number of this box?

Would the 5speed factory manual box from an RB30 Nissan Pintara be the same box? and would it bolt straight in?

My gratitude towards anybody who can answer these questions goes beyond words, i have had alot of difficulty finding a box i can afford, and alot of difficulty with my cars in general. Being that the car i was driving since my VL broke has run out of registration, and my vl has been sitting in the yard with rego till may and insurance till may, for the past 4 months. My car before that was a 5l VK group A commodore that was stolen from my locked garage after just 10 days, it was my first car. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Nope it wont, the CA20E gearbox will not bolt up to the RB30E engine in your VL , its a diffrent bell houseing.......I'd try the import wreckers and get a Nissan Skyline gearbox......

No 6cyl VL's had Borg Warner manuals, they are all MF5(non turbo)/MX7(turbo) Nissan gearboxes....

I picked up a 5 speed R32 gearbox down in Adelaide for $400 when I did my manual conversion on the Calais......not sure on current prices tho, and that one needed a rebuild....still.....

Pretty much all the small nissan 5spds are the same internally, so if you have a bell housing any will do the job, but ratios and gear strengths vairy. The Rb20, or na RB25 boxes would be best. Or a R31 skyline (not pintara) is identical.
