Seeing as everyone keeps on asking, and I can't find the table that I submitted for the old site, here are the paint codes again. The colour in brackets is what holden describe them as.

Hey my VL paint code is 2B042-D D meaning Dark and no paint places can make this up for me, they just say all the can do is by the book which is only 2B042 but that paint inst same as my its way lighter?any ideas?

D doesn't mean Dark. All the paint codes are followed by "-D" which, as someone else stated, probably refers to Dulux.

Either yours has faded or been repainted at some stage. If it's the metallic blue in your avatar it never weathered well and was very prone to fading.

See if it's a better colour match in your door recesses or in the boot. That would be closer to what your exterior colour should be unless it's been totally repainted at some stage.

Metallic (MX) Grey - 4H017 i know this is the colour of my bumpers just want a comfirmation on my body colour.

Silverslate (medium grey) - 2H016 ? thats my guess can anyone comfirm this.

Means nothing. If you go to the paint shop they will only want the first 5 characters. Every colour that I've ever seen ends in -D.

Can someone tell me what the paint codes are for the body and the bumpers? the bumpers arnt metallic and i think the body is. i cant really tell the difference, and im not with my car atm so i cant see the firewall.
