coolant air separator/overflowtank question..
does anyone use a coolant air separator tank?
ive seen quite a few rb engines with them. im thinking about using one on my motor. im wanting to set this up on my system but not sure where it plums into. just reading up about them it says they its the highest mounted point in the coolant system. id love to mount it in side the wiper channel. which is high up and out of the way of my clean engine bay... mayb this will have to wait until i get all the engine bay back together and sorted out! questions... has anyone ran this kind of set up... in any engine/vehicle.. where has it ran from? how high up has it been mounted? Cheers Jono

Unsure if you have to make sure you use a decent size hose so the air / water isnt restricted and gets stuck elsewhere. Would you also then put a non pressure relief cap on the radiator and put a normal radiator on the high mounted reservoir ?

yeah thats all good questions... of which im trying to get to the bottom of. ive put it on the back burner for now as im thinking will have to get motor back in and try it from there. thinking it might be a bit of trial and error.

I had one in my RB25DET VL.
Mounted it to brake master cylinder bracket. Radiator cap was a blank, the tank had its own pressurised cap. Hoses were easy to work out..
