5spd genuine VL turbo
Over $30000 worth of reciepts
Cam, water injection, big injectors, avo intercooler kit, fuel pump, motec computer ect ect ect.
Dyno sheet for 250 hp ATW
Full whiteline/koni/nolethane suspension, everything done.
AP racing brakes.
Body kit
Custom plates (Not really my thing but would be worth a bit to on sell)
Just been serviced 20km ago, Oil, filter, cam belt, drive belts and new battery.

Car is licenced.

Vehicle has been sitting at my place for over 3 years now, hance the recent work that was done before it was started. Runs mint and is a quick car. Unfortunately work and home comitments will not allow me to do it up to the standard I want so it has to go.

PLEASE NOTE vehicle requires a full respray, paint is faded on roof/boot ect, clear is peeling and it has the usual rust around the front/rear windscreen.

Thanks for looking

i really like this, with the interior and body returned to stock, a spray over and a general tidy up its a bit of a time capsule of how vl's were modded back at the beginning of this forum. plus its still got the right body tags. manual turbo

i'd probably change the wheels as well.

all of the 18yo's on facebook seem to think its a POS with crap mods and its not worth crap. what do you think?

So basically you want to change almost everything with the car.
As it sits now it's like any other POS VL. I agree with the 18 year olds on FB.

not everything, the mechanicals sound pretty cool.

plus its a plated turbo manual. i recon you'd be hard pressed to say that alone doesn't make it worth bringing back to life at "the right price"

If it was a good buy, it possibly would of sold by now.

On another note, An sl turbo manual plate car.

I read somewhere in the last couple of years
That these would become worth more than a Calais
Because the vl was the last to wear the sl variant.

Anybody else read that?

The only SL in my opinion that will ever be worth more then a Calais is a BT1, Otherwise.. Unlikely.

Put a bog stock Calais mint condition and a SL in the same condition they would probably pull the same money. But the overall in the scene, I feel the Calais is worth more.

My opinion.

If you can get it for a good price why not. A respray and some new plastic would have this thing turning heads as an original (not sure if it's an original plated auto or manual)

Kids piss and moan about quality and blabla because it make you sound like your **** dont stink.

I think any car has it's price and it's value is what some one is willing to put into it. Most of these kids who buy cars cry and throw in the towel any way.

I think it's a good base for a "project"

Most people take the piss.
If he says he has 30k in receipts then maybe he does. Has any one counted them up.
And the car looks to have been in its prime when a fair time ago when cheap eBay **** didn't flood australia.

This is your fave rage good looking VL these days haha quality stuff.

Again a good price a respray and some plastic moulds and you have them eating their words.

Yep totally agree with you,
I was a little surprised to see what I read and thought whatever.

Must have been an inexperienced car reviewer.

Now on the hunt to find the mentioned article

Cheers

It wouldn't be the first time it's come up calasit5. It's a argument that has popped up time and time again on CT lol. Surprising that nobody is disagreeing with me here?? Where are all the electrics haters? Haha.

You're totally wrong Mus, haha just kidding.

That SL would've been an amazing car back in the day, but you'd need to spend that much to bring it up to scratch now it may not be worth it. By the time you added up a panel and paint, and a general tidy up you would've spent more (at the minimum) than what you bought the car for. In saying that though, his brakes are amazing and I like his plates.

Don't know about you Turismo, but if i sold my car and gave receipts for how much I spent, and somebody brought a calculator to add them up i'd tell them to f*ck off lol.
