this is how it looked when i baught it under a year ago, trust me it was way worse than it looked in the picture as always!

---------- Post added 06-09-13 at 09:29 ----------

ive always loved vl's and it became an obsession, as soon as i started work at age 15 i was saving every dollar to buy one, i worked at daisy's garden supplies for over a year and was saving everything after most the year i found a car just 5 houses down the road from mine, it was a white vl calais it was almost too good to be true, he wanted 3500, i didnt have that kinda money at the time so he told me he'd hold onto it for me so i save all my money up went to the blokes door and he said he didnt want to sell it
after leaving his house pissed off i went home and did a search and bam this popped up nice and close for quite cheap so i baught it days later
got it towed to my house and took it for a drive had a massive mis in the 5th cyl had a blown tail shaft and all after have the year building it its almost to where i want it!

my girlfriend bought the seat covers for the vl because she knew that the mediera red Calais interior is pretty rare, so i should try my best to preserve them, the previous owners were pigs but luckily the interior wasn't damaged just dirty

F*** that's bad! mine was pretty bad but not that bad, what ended up happening to it?

---------- Post added 08-09-13 at 18:35 ----------

its also getting a universal seal for the front screen as the original plastics are horrible and will make the rust re appear!

I ended up selling, didn't have the time and patience for it. Was my daily as well so couldn't take it off the road.

I was going to use the universal seal on my wagon but went with a new set of the original moulds.

ya interior looks nice as, apart from the foot spa. def keen to see some photos of your seats

I've always wanted a calais with red interior, or to even put the calais interior into a non calais.
