No Commodore should have flappers or any kind of whitewall/ whiteline tyre.

And yes as what has been mentioned, three defect items are a myth and it's
completely up to the officer issuing the defect whether he ticks rwc needed or not
regardless of whether it's a minor or major.

My last VL got put off of the road for good (probably a good thing) when an officer
wrote down, one tyre needed replacing (probably had 90% tread), washer bottle needed
filling and horn didn't work. He ticked minor but also ticked rwc required. The rwc items
outweighed what the car was worth to me and I just took it off the road.

At the end of the day Victoria's car modifying rules are pretty lenient (compared to
most states) it just depends whether the officer who pulls you over is looking for a little
bonus cash at Christmas or not.

Yeah I realise that, it's usually just a revenue thing.

If your factory airbox has been removed, I guess your running a dose pipe on the front of your turbo? Then yes, it counts as 2 intake modifications and will result in a defect.

The togs will simply do what they want.

When the filth last me over and checked my car, a particularly unpleasant, short and obnxious young cop claimed my turbo inlet was a BOV, my intercooler will kill unexpecting pedestrians, a turbo engine wasn't a factory option on a TX5, asked 'what kind of bull**** excuse I gave to Vicroads for my permit and worst of all called me a peanut. Im not even a peanut..

The cop gets paid his wage whether he defects you or not. Some times they're just pricks and most times the cars they're defecting aren't within guidelines or roadworthy condition... It's the game you play.
