Daily runs hotter when on gas
G'day Folks
![]() So my daily seems to heat up quicker when running on LPG. The exhaust also seems louder? I've heard LPG burns hotter and that i should consider putting top of the range coolant in(which im doing on the weekend), but I thought I would ask on here and see if anyone can clarify that the coolant will help. The car(vs com, dual fuel) nearly over heats when sitting at lights when running gas but doesn't nearly get as hot when running fuel. Also would a cold air intake help this? Thanks guys!!! ![]()

its not uncommon for the engine to run 5 deg warmer but yours sounds like a cooling system problem.

Using the memory bank here from when I was working on LPG forklifts.
If your gas is tuned too rich it'll run cooler and if its tuned a bit lean it'll run hotter. Might be a possibility that it just needs the LPG wound up a bit. Is it running any different on LPG. Less power or anything?

So today noticed a leak from the radiator... ended up with a whole new radiator in it and is booked in for water pump replacement on monday. Will be interesting to see how it runs once the coolant actully flows through *le engine!!
I will let ya all know how i go...
