I will say now that there is far too much work involved and too much at stake for those involved for a group like the CT users to ever have their own car club.

It would only take one muzza to ruin it, not just for the club, but for the whole system and for all the clubs. Far too much of a risk.

couldn't agree more, especially when pretty much their sole motive is to save money and nothing else

lots of people commute to work and only get to drive their cars on Sat or Sunday yet pay their full rego costs and don't look for loopholes

That's fine but when you own 3 cars and pay rego of $2100 plus insurance it adds up. It's not a loophole it's legal to have a 25 plus year car on club rego.

That may be the case, but the self-governing club system does not see it that way, and they are the ones you have to pander to in order to get the club permits.

Whether or not a car is 25 years old does not automatically allow you to drive on a club permit, it is only one factor.

So why would I Volunteer my time to create a website and member magazine as previous posted, If my only motive was to save money? That would be a lot of effort to save 600 a year. My original post was to create a Calais turbo only club not just save money but get vl Enthusiasts together to share there passion. I can understand your concerns over hoons, that's a valid point.

Do you realise that there are legal components, financial reporting requirements etc? There is a lot of time, effort and money that goes in to the running of a club.
