vic club permit plates

i need help finding a car club.

my vl turbo gets driven once a week. so paying $700 buks a year for rego is a waste.

so im thinking of joining a car club.
all i know is it cost $120 a year for club permit plates and u can drive ur car 90 days a year.

any ideas ????
feedback appreciated.

I'll give you the hot tip. If you approach any car club seeking club reg to save money you more than likely won't be offered membership. Most clubs have a waiting period and then a minimum cruise requirement to be elegible for the permit too.

Car needs to be 25 years old
Join a club that has permit set up and away you go.
If not make up your own club.

Yes you have to be part of a club first, usually there is a waiting period, some may say you must attend 10 meetings first etc etc you must also attend a certain amount of club runs (with your club) per year to be apart of the club...
There will be heaps around your area so just google it...

ive got one of my cars in one, unless your going to be responsible and fill your log book out 110% right dont waste your time or the clubs time, i can see things turning bad in terms of unwanted attention to clubs etc now that vk/vl are becoming elligible lol prove me wrong people.
the fine/points if your log book is not filled is monster

Nope. Clubs dont just hand out plates. You have to be a paying member, attend cruises and be responsible. If you get caught mucking around they won't renew you.

I have club reg on 1 of my cars. Most clubs are very fussy about who and what they let into there club as 1 person could wreck it for there whole club.

Guys why don't we setup our own club, we already do cruisers. This would just mean its more formal. We could meet once a month talk crap and I would be happy to offer my help with a site and making a monthly club magazine. Etc

I am also currently paying 700 for something I drive once a week if that.
