The stock tail lights look better than the VK ones you bought, especially if you are going to put chasers on for the BT1 look.

Alrighty then, time for an update

Pulled my instrument cluster out the other day

Apologies for the terrible pic

And did some 'surgery' on the new calais cluster

Had to put on 2 of the plastic gauge trims as they had come off, also noticed the temp gauge wasn't working. After removing the speedo side i realised that the actual temp needle had fallen off its mount - no big deal thankfully.

Plugged the cluster back in and it all worked no problem (aside from oil pressure obviously). Just waiting on all new globes and its ready to put back in and put my dash back together.

On the list for the rest of school holidays:
- Remove and clean steering wheel
- Replace indicator stalk (its loose as)
- Diagnose non cancelling indicators
- Remove front seats and clean runners
- Find drivers side arm rest if i get time

Starting to get there bit by bit... Should have some more pics up in the next few days

Best interior mod you could have done bro.. You should head down to autobarn and sort yourself out the oil pressure fittings. It would cost you under $90.

Yeh that's definitely on the list now, especially because I can actually pull the cluster out properly - it's a five minute job unlike the first time it took nearly half an hour lol

First time will always take longer! The first time I stripped a complete interior it took me a couple hours, If I had a good back I reckon I could do it in under 25 mins.

Been doing some work on the steering column the past few days

Had to use a puller to get then steering wheel off, it was on there pretty tight

And gave the wheel a clean up, it was filthy, the rag i used came out black when i was finished

Pulled out the indicator stalk

..and glued it (apologies for the quality, garage isnt well lit, and im taking photos on an Ipod)

Every VL needs more "PWR" lol

Got my wheels and caps back from the powercoater WOOHOO! lol

It's pretty much the police pack silver as per all chasers, but it has a slight metallic tinge to it, hard to see in photos anyway, but very happy regardless

Also picked up a set of front armrests from radz86 off this forum, Cheers mate!

Cheers MUS
Also picked up an entire console including sunnies holder and high rise today

All interior bits are finally sorted, plan now is to change the exhaust manifold studs (some are cracked) and possibly chuck a set of extractors on

But I have exams in three weeks so there will be little progress until then... Then four solid months of cracking on with her until I can actually drive it
