Paint code check

Hey,

Just after some help with a paint code. The original paint on my car as said on the plate on the firewall is 1J-052-D. I looked this up in the Holts Dupli-color book and it says that its Alpine White. The only problem is that according to this book, Alpine White is 1J-052. Would there be any difference to it since the code on my car has a -D on the end?

Cheers,

Scott

I know it's been a while since you posted this Scott but as I was scanning through a bunch of old posts I thought I'd reply.

VL parts book lists Holden Alpine White as 1J052. There are no letters after it (in the book anyway).

Mine is also Alpine White and plate is also stamped 1J052-D.

The book states "HMC reference number with paint vendors code".
"D" is more than likely their paint vendor at the time by the sounds of it.

Paint Codes

Yes, thats right, just ignore the D at the end as long as it has that first part of the Code its the same. Its the same with my Paint Code, and quite a few of the ones I have to mix up at work...

D Stands for Dulux as it is the paint supplier at the time.
