Hey Pauly, that JW Automotive designed turbo kit I freighted down sure looks standard and clean, with his matching cam shaft he sent you it's a proven 9sec package well done on the build so far looking the goods and the customer should be wrapped..

Cheers JB,

When i rang Justin to organise for the manifold to be modified and spacer plate to be done he had a customer who had changed plans on their set-up who wanted to off load his manifold, turbo, gate and dump. So it was snapped up to save a bit of work , more to do with simplicity than necessity. I know the wastegate flange if not done correctly is prone to cracking and remember Justin saying that it took a few goes at doing them to work out the right procedure. The cam is a Tighe TX2, you probably shouldn't have mentioned the cam.

Justin and i share a lot of info and ideas as well as parts/stock etc. As when he needs twin cam info i assist him. No secret really and i buy parts through him as well as send him work where possible. I was sure you were aware of this and i feel the way you posted had a slight passive-aggressiveness to it. Maybe you had a few as it was nearly midnight.

No Pauly, no aggresion here, was just saying the turbo kit and cam shaft spec is fool proof good for a 9 sec pass and (proven when I drove the pink car) if all other things are done right as I feel with you at the helm they would be..........

thanks mate, yes but you driving the "Pink Bits" and Stray driving the "Its Stock Officer" wagon are fairly well removed from each other (Stray i mean no offense buddy). Stray should be able to drive to the track and get booted with a ten second slip in the console without too many problems. We are tuning with Jim at CRD so it should be running a fairly good number.

more pics?
New aircon condenser core and reciever/dryer was sourced and modified (notice the rivets on the dryer bracket and the slimline thermo fan) to allow the intercooler to be mounted high enough and far enough back to not need anything on the bar trimmed. There is only the last two rows of intercooler core visible when bar is on. The dryer sensor has been mounted on a right angle elbow since this shot as the wiring was rubbing against the core fins.

inlet cooler pipe was a bit trial and error before i was happy with the look and clearance.

.

spot on!! When I first enterained the idea with paul about doing this build, he said if your not willing to do it right then or you want to cheap out here or there then its not happening. (or words to that effect). that pretty much sold me. this car may be mine but its a credit to paul.
lol 10sec paul? the car yeah but im well aware its my ability that will have to catch up to the cars potential.

some crazy ass pipework is required to get 4inch stainless to get clear of diff, swaybar, panhard rod/ bracket and the fuel tank.

The 4 inch system i fabricated for the white Skyline in the earlier vid was made entirely of straight pipe using a lobster back technique to create all the bends. While using mandrel bends is easier and takes a lot less consumables, in some instances it can assist as a simple rotation of one 'donut' can give the change of angle that maybe required.

this shows the pipes orientation as it sits under the car. All the flanges are V-band to allow ease of fit and ensures that small adjustments can be made by loosening the clamp and giving that section a slight twist to get the pipe as close to the floorpan as possible but also eliminating annoying clunking noises if it too close

Is the cam a custom grind or something off the shelf from Crow or Wade?

On the plus side its driving awesome with just a basic road tune

status has changed. in between work and reno's we managed to get half a tune in it. made 327kw on 19psi on 98 octane. seems to be making power easily to a point, but i dont understand much about the ecu side of things, so i wont attempt to explain a small issue with it. but yeah its getting there. cheers for the comments
