are you serious? if you are going to purchase one of his products and then take it to be reproduced i wouldn't be shouting it from the rooftops. theres more to something like this than a copyright. you can't just change the colour or something. read up on IP rights.

If I was niche I'd be giving you a blasting for even mentioning the idea. its not as if he was selling the rights for a huge amount of cash.

Glad I got mine for $80 back when Niche was still around and making them. I'd consider selling it, but no less than $4500, with a free 5L Calais, lol. Hopefully something good comes of this for those wanting one, they're a fantastic bit of kit.

Pilot Production - Fuserail Series 3

Hi Guys,

Technical Points:

Series 3 fuserail design in final stage qualification (no point making Series/V2 anymore, odd complexities).

EvilPet is right, its so easy to get burned and numbers need to stack up.
The old Series 2 (or V2 fuserail) had a couple of builtin copy-resist manufacturing aspects but missed out on ease for configuring VK and others through to VR.
This has been complicated by the situation I am a one man show and finances are tight.
Had a death in the family last year under troubling circumstances and although my health has improved need to make this a military exercise to ensure efficiencies all round.
Btw: The existing jigs for the Series 2 have been amended to handle both V2 and Series 3 (in case any IP queries crop up later).

In short the Series 3 retains the best of the Series 2 and takes advantage of recent improvements in surface mount componentry and tighter layout.

Communications:
I have a few private messages here and some from ebay, most get me through my private email address, will be going through CT messages later today.
Any ppl that have messaged me and no post in this thread, will be messaged tonight after I've had some shut eye, 7:30am, havent slept yet <guh>

Commercial Issues:

In order to be fair to as many nice people as possible on this great (and patient) forum [thanks to moderators !] and regardless of the bidding oddities on ebay and my good history/reputation there, I feel it appropriate to do a pilot batch of the Series 3 and offer them here initially to guys on first come first served basis and in relation to some base seniority eg. Must have been a member joined before Jan 1, 2012. That is, I dont feel good re opportunitists getting them first and scalping on ebay or anywhere else.

However, I noticed there might be a couple of Series 2 units still in people's bottom drawers - well now is the time to list them here or on ebay, if you havent installed them by now for whatever reason you may as well exit and see how the Series 3 turns out as it can go up to VR models - up to you.

As its holidays for uni students my 19 yr old son will be on hand to move things along a bit until first week in March, he helped with last batch and got his initiation with the soldering iron, drill and jigsaw (hasnt seen the bandsaw yet)

As much as I would like to get parts for 50, build and test and ship I cant do that due to overheads and other work, not least of which is handling the admin of working out who wanted them when ie Chasing people up...
So, it has to be on strict but, fair deposit only but, will keep it here for 7 days before offering sales elsewhere such as on ebay, gives you guys time to organise.

Series 3 Pilot Batch Pricing (50 to 60 units for 3 months):

Models Available, VK through to VR, all Matt black, white lettering.
  • BareBones:....No Fuses, no leds, no lighting, min spades____________________$ 90.00
  • Standard::....Fuses, Fuse Leds, no lighting, 3 x extra acc fuses______________$ 99.00
  • Advanced:....Fuses, Fuse Leds, 2 x engine lights, timer, all acc spades________$ 115.00

Relay holder boards are not generally used for VK and VL's but optional if you wish to move the fuserail inside to glove box or underneath glove box,
such as when adding extra relays for more functions.
Also optional on later models up to VR, as there are other places to move those relays if budget conscious.

Sorry dont have prices yet for the relay boards, its a gamble ordering a panel of those, will advise later on, just let me know you want it and I'll note it on the spreadsheet.

CD of install pics and vids for DIY included.

Ordering Terms:

1. Cleared funds deposited will establish 'first come first served' order processing.
2. Allow ~4 weeks for pilot batch parts to turn up and start shipping.
3. If you decide you want extra and its within a week then will try to include to save postage.
4. Want refund, no problem but lose queue position, allow a week so can interleave orders, no restock fee for this batch.
5. Keep bank receipt for reference, if no acknowledge from me on email, then email scan to confirm.
6. Shipping by satchel or express post (tracking no.) in 500gm or 3Kg bags, check prices on http://shop.auspost.com.au/shop/express-post and in plain packing.
7. Will email/message you the tracking number and where shipped from
8. Sorry cannot do dealer/bulk for discount, this is a pilot batch for time being of 50 to 60 etc.
9. Variations considered, eg cable length, timer period, remote pushbutton etc, email me with comments/requests ct_fuserail_query@niche.ii.net

Banking Details
Cleared funds deposit to (ING) Bsb 923 100 Account 30133149 Name 'Network Power Systems' though any bank referenced name prob ok

Then email me your order detail (which model) and best receive address/name to ct_fuserail_order@niche.ii.net optionally with scan of your receipt
Will be posting this in for sale section shortly [moderators allowing post here], thought I'll give you guys a day's head start or so, you have been a nice bunch :-)

Cheers for now,

Mike

no problem, I forgot that too, need slepe, will mod the post above later on but here for time being:-

Engine lights, two bright white LEDs on end of cables (one each) and wire tags so they can be positioned in engine bay to light up regions you want to see, check, work on etc, also one on each end of fuserail, even in daylight some areas are difficult to see and worse at service station with overhead fluoros. Can just see button on top right next to tab.

The timer is a pushbutton operated timer for the lighting, typical application is:-

Open bonnet,
push the button on fuserail top (or can supply remote button)
lights come on and stay on full bright for 10-15mins
so you have 10mins of full bright to look at stuff or fix stuff etc,
after 10mins they get a bit dimmer, so you get a warning to press the button
again for another 10-15mins ie. They wont just go off while you are working on somethng or stuck upside down udner car.
I used mine a lot when camping with kids and going over rough ground, needed to check radiator, hoses etc. Torches get lost so having sem- fixed lights on cables was more convenient and reliable.

If you get the fuserail installed in glovebox or underneath glove box the accessory lights can still go to engine bay or anywhere else you need.

Accessory Spades
The standard holden fuserail has room for two accessory fuses on bottom left, mine has room for 3 more, they are fully populated with underneath spades and holders, can be plugged into any other items you have added, like turbo IC water spray, air comp for shockies, extra spotties etc etc

More pics on link below on my old sig (ignore the email address think its wrong on that link)
