It's gd ai lol, that's as much as Sean could push it as its breaking down on spark on 13 psi :-/ brand new lt16s with 6 coils and x6 box and still an issue! Calling microtech on Monday to get answers !

Na car was running out of spark at 13psi so have to call microtech and see wat they have to say. Its getting run in on dyno then just ramp it up.

far out looks like you're hitting full boost just before redline. i guess thats expected with a turbo that big. You gonna squirt a little shot of gas to get things spinning quicker ?

Coil packs are thru microtech, plugs are gapped to .6 already so yes.

Not sure if you have said you tried this but I had a similar issue with my car (microtech, 6 individual coil setup) played around with different plugs, gaps etc and it ended up just being the CAS. Get rid of it if you can afford it!

Yer plug gaps been played with. Haven't tried the Cas yet.

Microtech replied to an email asking if it had a cam or cam gear, replied with yes, there reply to that was it could be putting the phasing of the dizzy out so play with it till it works right :-/

If it's still manual, maybe try a smaller volume plenum. Also where i bought my coil packs i was told to mount them away from heat, i.e on the firewall or behind the dash. Could try anything i guess... CAS Removal sounds like a great idea!

M and W ignitions if all else fails Mo!! Mount the coild under the dash and run the leads through the fire wall, as far as i know its all pretty sensitive to electrical noise. Only going off what im told though, I use M and W and havent had an issue since, its all mounted in the car. 6 Coils under the center of the dash, ignition box where the ecu normally is and ecu on the trans tunnel.

Sean will get it sorted though.

There's still plenty of leg room b4 redline. Might put gas on wen the glide goes in, either that or if it's a pure lag monsta then I mite revert back to a smaller frame turbo.
this is microtech in a nutshell, i'll never use them again


one other thing to try that you might laugh at, there are 2 plugs that come from the ecu itself, when it starts to breakdown try move the plugs around

i had an the same setup in my vl and it would miss and for the life of us we couldn't figure out why, i started moving the plug (the actual plastic mount of the plug that's fastened to the PCB) and the missing stopped. As soon as i took the load off the plug it would start missing again

So played with the dizzy an now making 403hp on 17psi, bit more playing around ad hopefully see close to 500 on pump b4 tuning finishes.

given the vl cas doesn't help with tuning but after playing with software like hp tuners/efi live you realise just how far behind microtech are

Prob not relevant but sounds sorta similar when I had a custom grind cam in my old vl when I had a **** ton of of head work done we maxed the dizz adv out out trying to get it to run properly it helped alot but it used to idle at like 520 and used to break down if I thrashed it normal driving was ok tho

403 is a bit low on 17 hey?

When you get ****ty with the microtech change out to a haltec

Mate has had massive amounts of success with his haltec

R33, 25/30, 35R, making 550~ on 23 and 500~ on 18 with BP98



Me personally, only had 1 microtech powered car, nothing but problems...

It's only being turned to 6500 rpm, still more room to lean on it but no reason to untill race season. Plus ur mate has a twin cam head flowing more air then mine. Also it's on a conservative dyno unlike alot of happy dynos!

Theres nothing wrong with MicroTech aslong the person whos tuning it knows how to tune it. Cant wait to see this thing finished and see the power it makes, good luck man!
