Willowbank rules??

I'll be going to the track in a couple weeks and was just wondering what the rules are

I'm guessing long sleeves, pants and full face helmet

What about rules on mph and et?
Sub 12 tailshaft loop? Harness?
Sub 11s cage?
Sub 10s andra license?

What mph is a chute needed?

How lenient are they if u hit a big mph? Do they warn u or just boot you?
What mph do they boot u at?

I'll be on front runners and dot slicks so I'll b giving it a bit!

Cheers
Troy

10.99 half cage ,tailshaft loop and license.

They dont tend to look over the cars at a test n tune untill you go quicker then 10.99,if you do that and the car isnt tech'd they will just stop you from racing

But straight from the rule book....
1.Tailshaft loop when quicker then 13.00
2.trans shield when quicker then 10.00
3.shute is needed when you go 140mph or quicker
4.a steel half cage with intrusion bars and a taxi bar gets you legal to 10.00 can be a bolt in,car needs a fixed steel roof
5.a full 6 point cage with taxi and intrusion bars gets you legal to 8.00 in a fixed steel roofed car
6.a proper fixed back race seat for cars running quicker then 10.00
7.4 point harness for quicker then 12.00
5 point harness for cars quicker then 130mph

Theres a **** load of other rules, but thats the main ones, the licences depend on the class yor running etc..

If your not teched for sub 10's, i'd at least put a tailshaft loop on it and definitely put at least a 4 point harness in, cause they will want a harness once u go over 110mph anyway, regardless of time.
There's no point wasting money on much else to only 'half comply' with the rules. Just go out and get ur 60ft sweet and do a couple of half tracks to get the car sorted and then bust a good time
Once they ask you to leave, then you can decide whether u wanna spend another couple a grand to go a few tenths quicker.

That's the plan Ollie
Practice the 60ft, try n get down as low as 1.4-1.5 if I can and practice shifts before doing a full pass

The car has the rearend to handle big launches and it's got the power to hit 9s full weight but I've never been to the strip and haven't had any seat time with the new setup yet

A supra we do has pretty much all the gear, 700rwhp, no seats interior out and the best rear end, tail shaft has been strengthened even the rubber ring at the end has been upgraded and 1year later chris went 11.3@133mph on the weekend at jambo. (manual)

It takes a long time to make it happen Troy, chris's biggest improvement was two step/anti-lag off the line.

All these little things count but it will take some time mate so dont be too stressed about getting all the cage n stuff just yet practice on your 60 then remove as much weight as you can.

Good luck mate

Yeah I seen Chris break his rear end at jambo

He had major wheel hop on the line
Has he fitted solid ear mounts and diff mounts?
Those help eliminate wheel hop alot!

My driveshaft doesn't run the rubber couplers
It's a 3.5" chromoly shaft with 1350 unis and billet adaptors
I've got the solid rearend bushes aswell as trd centre
It's only an a series but it's also still the auto ratio which is better for the strip
Only thing I'm worried about is the diff cover with the solid mounts, there known to crack

We will be setting up the 2step/antilag to get boost on the line
Also the turbo is a 1.28 rear so it's going to have alot of topend

The goal is to hit mid 1.4 60s, even high 1.3s is doable, and hit 110mph by half track
With the power the car makes, 140-150mph is doable with good driving but I'll be happy with mid 130 to start with

Just waiting on my rear tyres to come then I'll go to the track
My built motor is currently getting done aswell so that will probably go in in the next couple months to
That's a 3.2 with billet mains and the works
Also most likely a head done from bullet

I doubt I will cage this car now but will c what happens
