Im working on the boot layout at the moment.. tricky ****, update pics soon. Itll look trick when its done, ive got a few little surprises. After that im going to get a 3.5inch dump exhaust tip and autometer gauge the sun glass holder. After that, ill start buying turbo parts. Only a year and a half til my full licence..........
I want around 250rwkw. My plan is to get a r33 manual and vlt diff in the car as i get them and run it n/a and build a s2 block on the side ready for fulls.
Somethin like a 35/40, de comp, cammed, microthec on a standard bottom end on around 10-15psi. That will keep me happy for quiet a while, after that ill forge the bottom end and crank up the boost

Whats going in my sunglass holder.

Boost gauge in a NA, yes (lol) Im just gonna hook it up to the vaccum for a laugh.. Ill be making a plywood plate for them to sit in, and dont want to have to re do it later on when i turbo just to put a boost guage in it so ill just put it in now.. some story for wiring it up etc.
I was going to carpet the ply wood plate with some blue carpet offcuts i had from my door pods, but i thought of getting an old dash or glove box lid or even door trim vinyl from a wrecked VL, and use that as a veneer on the plate and it'll all look factory. Factory autometer gauges, you know

My other bright idea was one of these..

A self contained shift light (ie no tacho to run off.. adjustable rpm dial on the back) And mount this inside the air con vent just above the head deck.
Hidden/sleeper spec out of sight until hits the rpm and goes off.. sneaky sneaky
Bit wankerish.. Keen to hear feedback!

Pics look good mate.
I'm surprised you have any rubber to burn on those wheels haha

How's the Sunglasses holder coming? I'm knocking up something similar with the same type of gauges as yours.
Keen to see how yours turns out

Yeah but a 3mm cometic doesnt make it high comp anymore, if its a 1.6mm one then it should still be running standard NA compression

Probably the 1.6 then (std thickness) good gaskets tho! most people use em for decomping A6 turbo conversions

I did the same with a nokia cigartte lighter charger.
The charges themselves will be tucked up the inside of the center console at the back, with each charger wire coming though the storage area of the console, so you flip up the arm rest when you need to charge your phone/ipod, grab the cord and hide it away when youre done. too easy!

I posted this up ages ago and never did a follow up.
