its alright xibitor, i was only sticking up for another person on the forum, you never have anything constructive to say anyway.

i stripped the car down with the help of a few mates and jack from here, i amassed all the parts myself over two years or so, its my plan and it's grown how i wanted it. so what if i pay someone to screw it all together? the only things im getting from lee is a clutch, a computer, and all his fabrication, the rest of the parts i already sourced myself.

i dont have the luxury of a huge garage, or one with a decent layout, jack can tell you this. so i took it to a point where i either had to move the car elsewhere where i would pay rent to continue to dot he engine swap, or take it to a pro like lee to finish it off, and have piece of mind that everything will be bolted together correctly.

we dont have a welder, or the skill to fabricate like lee does, so why would i bother paying for all that stuff when his pipework and stuff will look the goods in the end.


anyway mate, i look forwards to seeing the next for sale thread, where you pick at someones stuff, then try and offer one of your beaten up pieces of unregistered sh*tbox cars as a trade. get a life mate,

If you need any custom cooling system work, try Sergio Versaico in Willeton (Ph 0415 375 510) on Yampi Way. He designed and fabricated the whole custom cooling system (inc fabricating the radiator) for our EH when we fitted the modified engine and charger, and is a wealth of knowledge plus a complete perfectionist. Can send you pictures of his work if you want.

Good luck with the build and I hope it all works out for you with your goals. Keep at it

more focused on the purse strings for now. ill get it all running and focus on getting the right power out of it, then get the power down, then ill worry about making it look perfect.

but yes, eventualy, though i start uni this year, so maybe not for a while, i didnt really ever want to build a show car though.

Just went to lees shop today with my brake upgrade all sweet and ready to go in.

upon getting there we realised there was no way at all that the booster/master combo was going to come out, and a new one go in, with the new plenum in place, so i've left that all there and they will be doing the swap for me, unfortunatly that means the plenum will have to come off and then go back on again.

me and a mate did however swap the rotors/calipers over:


this is why i had to get 17s haha, so little clearence:



lee has also got the pipework for the cooler done, and mounted the cooler properly, looks great, im actualy upset that there is so little pipework in the bay, it looks mint but you can barely see it haha.
forgot to take a shot of his work in the bay, but i'll get a few when everything is all plumbed up.




surge tank is all sorted, while we were there lee was sorting out the fuel lines etc and they took out my fuel tank to fit up the new pump and lines.
thats all for now, more updates in about a week though.

looks good mate, what disks/rotors are they? Can you actually get them skyline brakes on without goin to floating hub/disk, I always thought you had to convert to VT hubs or something.

fuel systems all good to go, new lines the whole way, rubber in the boot, new larget metal lines to the bay, then braid in the bay. looks mint, all sits perfect too, have some photos up soon.

had to make them go back a step, bit of a bummer, the plenum is now off and the old brake master/booster is out of the car, new stuffs just about to go in. they have to play around with the intake and airbox, turns out the box i got from brightline that has a 4inch intake and a 4inch pod mount only has a 3inch hole between them (eg a lip inside that limits it to a 3inch hole) jezza who makes the boxes is sure that it makes no difference, and has done testing to prove it, but i dont see how it could not make a difference, maybe if the cars he tested it on really didnt need a 4inch intake then sure, but still neither i and especialy lee were convinced, so now that has to come back out too. then making the pipe that joins the box to the turbo front is going to be a ****ty job for lee, there isnt much room to fit an s bend in there, but he's determined to make it fit coz blue silicone looks ****!


seems like its going backwards atm, but only needs a few more weeks, needs wiring and then its mostly there.

if you are talking about the braided brake lines, vhr32 sent them to me, they are just pbr to suit my model.

if you are talking about the braid i talked about in my post previous to this, in the fuel lines, and pretty much the rest of the engine bay lines, then i got it from lee sanders with the whole package, price included install, fittings, and braid, along with the couple of extra items like clutch and ecu.

most of the turbo lines were already done in braid when i bought the stuff from graham, so they are still fine to use.

haha, i was hoping to have it finished in time for the vl nats, but the build is only due to be finished around the end of this month, so that means start of march ill be driving it running it in and getting used to it, that coupled with uni commitments will more than likely meen it wont be fully operational to mid april? but i dont think the build will ever be truly finished anyway,

1st thing once its all back and running will be sussing a big alarm package, then probably send it back to vulcan panel and paint get them to touch up the whole car, fix the black around the doors and a couple of scratches/chips here and there, then get a detail.
