hey guys, ive posted up some strange threads lately but heres another,

im slowly doing up an na for ****s and giggles on a pretty tight budget, heads sorted exhaust extractors etc etc thats all good but then i got onto the intake manifold and i thought hmm what havnt i seen on an rb 30 or something not common and i straight away thought trumpets

anyone seen this done ?

im looking for some ideas so i can make a set up or if worst comes to worst order some, i personally think its gonna look/sound tuff but let us know ur opinions and ideas guys cheers.. btw before u say turbo it, i already have a turbo calais this is purely a ****s and giggles car lol cheers

nah but his trumpets go inside a plenum, i want 6 trumpets, each with a throttle body of there own all connected by a bar so when the throttle is pulled they all open up..

well i dont want the intake manifold open at all times

i want it set up so that when i open the throttle all 6 trumpets open depending on the position of the throttle so in essence yea something like that

surely it could be done.. RB26's have individual throttle bodys i think.

hows this? NA runners, throttle body on top of each runner, trumpets on top of the throttle bodys going through the bonnet! haha.. would be expensive, but possible

thats pretty much my plan... not really expensive i wrote a program at work this morning to cnc myself some trumpets

the hard thing is getting them to fit/work lol i wanted to keep them under the bonet for more.. street legality

I was told of a car for sale last week that is a VL Rally car running an RB30E with 6 throttle bodies. Am guessing it would be a trumpet setup.

why dont u get a plenum off protig and mod it ur self save time/money?

I remember about 8 years ago, some company was making an intake manifold with trumpets and individual throttle bodies for a N/A RB30. Might see what I can dig up.

Obviously an aftermarket ECU would be required because you'd need to make the switch to MAP sensor.

There are kits available to fit the RB26DETT intake manifold to an RB25DET head, so there may be one to fit it to the RB30E head.

yea its not gonna be cheap but still not over the top expensive, i could get pro tigs one but then id still need a lot of modification, if i just made my own from scratch i could make it all to suit

start with the gtr throttles then weld the trumpets onto them

only problem with triple carbys is the fact that its triple carbys lol
ive heard alot with modification to the gtr throttle bodies so i might have a look into that, im just waiting on the billet to arrive for me to do the actual trumpets then i just gotta do the mounting bracket, and for questions regarding aftermarket ecu ive already got a microtech lt10s nothing brilliant but still alot better then the old stocky haha

Try Efi hardware (pretty sure that's what there called)
there down here In melb mate of mine bought a quad throttle
setup for his piston 808 trumpets spacer ecu injectors the lot.
They can pretty much make a kit to suit ur needs
