& If he paid for the ecu wiring that person should be shot !
Yeh recognised the car, some pretty distinctive parts on it.

I haven't seen him for a while but good to see the car ended up in good hands, I'll let him know.

Yeah its still got the block/gearbox interior & diff. Not a hell of alot else.

If you get in touch with him can you ask him what shop put the engine together ? I wouldn't mind knowing / talking to them about the motor itself.

Yeh I can ask him but I have a feeling it was put together by a mate of his rather than a shop.

Yeah sweet just find out what oil he was recommended, Dont no whether to put a 0-40 / 10-40 or maybe something thicker like HPR30 (which is what Ive put in now) theres plenty of people recommending what oil to use out there but it would be better to no what the dude who put the engine together thinks.

Hey mate

Just read the thread...

This is 1 sweet ride!!!

Keep up the good work and i will be watching mate!

I have just started coming on here more as when i first joined didn't really get good comments on the vl but like i said in the thread its way of being finished! and people prob wont reconize it once its done!

The thread on it now wont be getting updated at all and will start a new thread when its nearly done or done then see what people say!

but enough of that! Your ride is sweet mate and good luck with the rest of the build!!

Yeah its like when I brought the car I was on $400 a week haha, so just making the payments was enough let alone all the crap I wanted to buy for it.

I will never change my mind so much again, do it once Is my new moto!

---------- Post added 28-07-10 at 23:06 ----------

So yeahh

Custom accelerator cable made up so eventually can stash it under the guard, Dump pipe fabricated, IAT sensor put into the intercooler pipes t/body side, basic boost controller turbotech thing installed, VS-VZ power steering resiviour mounted (fairly dodgy as I cut the bracket wrong, zip ties YEAH) and all lines made up.

Rocker covers welded & catch can welded baffled/vented thing, The hoses are temporary just made them extra long so I can move them later on,

Wiring on the plenum is just temporary, if I need to take it out for any reasons like adding extra wires its alot easier,

re: your interior, I have soiled myself and am not ashamed of it. Looks so nice, not to far over the top or far removed from stock but enough to be pure sex (I like the standard Calais interior to begin with).

Had any recent dyno time with the new management and turbo setup?

Few dramas unfortunately, Turns out the C.A.S I had on the car was an early rb20/ca18 cas maybe, It was working with my ems dualsport which is only a batch fired unit, anyway It took a while to diagnose this problem (feel so stupid as I had actually researched it and people told me the trigger wheels didn't change r32-34) once that was figured & it was running, injector 6 was coming & going and then it dropped out completely.

So car comes home next week should be able to diagnose it a bit more with a bit of wiring etc etc. And maybe send the ecu away for testing

Goto put a new earth wire up to the starter motor as its cranking slow, so I'm going to run a half inch fuel line up the front while I am there.

Kinda sucks its coming home not running tip top but Its been a while since I have had something to play with so I am looking forward to putting some work in and getting it up to scratch.

Is there a record for the fastest 5 cylinder rb30 ?

Think the new install looks better then the last one.. sorted out like 2km of wires and its definitely a bit neater.

Going hard or going home

Wanna run this bitch into the ground

Wiring up a fresh loom now that im running external coils instead of COP originals... also changing the injectors from sidefeed to ID1000 for now

Added a tps sensor and also a fuel pressure sender as well so its all going fresh.

Should be a good loom second time around wont make any mistakes that look messy
