If you want more motivation, start a build thread over on the MEA forum. They will keep hassling you till it's done lol

its the Mobile Electronics Australia forum - basically a car stereo forum.

http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/forums/index.php

There are some very knowledgable people on there who could give advice along the way if you need it for your sound system. Having said that, it looks like you've got things pretty well sorted so far - your sub enclosure looks excellent.

thanks stevo ill check that out.... and thanks i love the enclosure too just waiting for better weather then we can finish painting it

thanks zac.... wasnt sure u guys would like it cause of the boring wood color...

the pink color is cause i used a cabinet making contact adhesive that was red to upholster the box.... after bout a week it started to show through the white vinyl...i was pretty p***ed to begin with but now starting to like it... different i spose.

next on the list is too start building the boot lid panel to house 2.. 4 channel v12's, and i have some downlights to fit in there aswell.... gonna have to break out the fibreglass.... ohhhh i love that smell

ohh and the two holes in the flush panel are for something im thinking of doing... but still unsure if it will work??

thanks guys... it has been a massive project (5 years since ive driven it) but have owned 4 calais turbos now and have decided to go all out finally.

i did custom car audio as a job for over 6 years mate so learnt it all there... having said that its not as difficult as it might look....

1- mixing the resin up right EASY as
2- building the frame which requires good woodwork skills...
3- stretching the medium over the frame (cloth, liycra etc) that bit can be tricky.
4- then matt and more matt and more resin blah blah......

give it a shot you will be suprised and any specific questions ill be happy to help out

nice build man, where u get those radiator hoses from and the connections? they look filth as man cause i got a aluminium radiator goin in soon and those hoses would look sick with it and i also got braided hoses goin from my engine cover(morpheus purple) to plenum so those hoses would finish the look off.

ever thought of making a project thread lol?

did u use these for the radiator?

there is a build thread of my motor/body/driveline.... check vl turbo reader rides... calais show car.

the radiator lines are proper braided lines (not slip on cover) top one is -16 and bottom is -20

u will need to get radiator modified with AN fittings to suit these and have new thermostat housing and top hose outlet built with these also.

just to warn u this is not cheap... the fittings themselves are bout 200 each end and the hose is 170 per metre!!

my radiator and top and bottom hose set me back $2600

sick amps. i am running an older version of the v12.

also to the guy asking about fibreglassing. best way to learn is have a look at the process and designs on forums like the one provided or elsewhere and then just have a crack. its really a practice thing.

start small so you don't get overwhelmed eg some doorpods.
