Colin and I have had several discussions this week about his car, and hopefully I can continue to try and convince him to do 2 things:

Fix the rear suspension, we need springs, shocks and swaybar, and I'd like to push this thing FULL WEIGHT to a 9.6?. Tough, suspension I think will get us a 9.75-9.78, then pull a degree or 2 of timing, and sneak up the boost a few more psi each time, its still got at least another 7psi in it, maybe 8. This would have to make it one of the quickest full weight calais I'd imagine?

In the meantime, start a real racecar, lexan, mini tubs, stripped and ready to race about 400kg's lighter than this tank, with a few more engine tweaks and changes and see where this driveline goes in a lighter car:P We could try your car ollie, but I don't think Col would like you driving his engine and glide to work everyday:P

Is this the motor with the JHH head and the biggish tighe cam/what plenum?
Or am i confused?

nah.....Alex Cowie did the cylinder head.......used to run a tighe cam but was a little to big & really needed to to be solid ......not something i wanted to do atm,now have an off shelf crow cam & runs a JPC plenum......revs to 8000rpm

i'll dig some pics out....... can anyone post them for me ollie? andy?

So you did end up getting lifter pump up with the big tighe stick then?
what cam you got now? the tx2 by the sounds of it.

Where are the pics???

PS Kyle is a legend he can plug his product till the cows come home as far as i'm concerned and it's all good. As kid rock said "It ain't bragging if you can back it up". In the end Maatouk runs a 6Boost manifold on his race car and it picked up heaps of torque in doing so, so i don't see why there is any need for either name to be rubbed in the dirt next to each other in this thread.

This is a ****ty effort with crappy workmanship, I have seen this car and worked on it numerous times and I would say to both COLIN & KYLE the best part of this car is the cage and the interior o plus the stickers........

Like I said colin race face on with more more boost, im 20 kgs lighter than your fat ass so if you want it to go quicker give me a steer........


Yeah yeah after my rant great effort guys, you all may no of the car but when you no how much work has gone into the car and been there first hand to either help or work on it, you will never fully appreciate just how hard it is to get one of these hunkas down the track that quick......... A lot of late nights have paid off.... FINALLY

To answer for the big man, the car will stay as is, full weight with kit, interior and all, and we'll tinker here and there and sneak the boost up every now and then and see what its got. Just gotta ride Col to build a real race car now;-)

as above..........stuff with the suspension & see if we can't get it out of the hole a little better(the best have done is a 1.53 60ft.....so the maybe .1th of a sec in there to go after) & maybe just maybe I'll take some weight out if it......probably not real keen on that tho, as for what i want to do in the future it might just be better to start from scratch,

to be honest a 9.7 would/will probably the most i can hope for as it is.....

have to be happy with a 9.7 if u can achieve that...although 9.5's are nice to think about....... It couldnt be a bad thing to give it a pass with the interior stripped out of it... but yeh I dunno how extreme you want to go in the weight reduction side of things with that car. as its pretty nice to go cutting to pieces hey Col
