Hmmm, looks like this is turnin into another chat thread already!
Pretty sure VF is the designation for the upgrade, and as calais3L correctly said, VG has been used before.
Cast your mind back to the coupe 60 concept (http://www.carblog.co.za/wp-content/...e-60-side.jpg).
The only exterior features on that car that aren't production ready are the side exit exhaust and centre lock alloys.
Concept cars are often used to gauge public opinion on new designs. I wouldn't be suprised if a facelifted SS featured a very similar front bumper, and even that cool looking vent which blends into the bodywork.
Had it not been for the 60th anniversary, Holden had said that the coupe 60 concept may not have been revealed to the public for a long time. These guys are constantly working on projects like this, many of which will never be seen by people outside of Holden. Pity.

It would be pretty easy for Holden to do a twin turbed V6. That motor is a global one, and is used in many different forms by other manufacturers such as Saab and Alfa Romeo. Saab have a few blown motors based on this one - the know how is there. I reckon we'll see more efficient, direct injection versions before a hi-po one featuring a couple of snails tho

Saab use a 2.8 Twin Turbo Version. Holden said it was possible to build it up to 3.9 litres, Imagine that, 3.9 DOHC V6 with Direct Fuel Injection and Twin Turbos.

mmmm...FPV F6 eat ya heart out! With the popularity of the XR6T and F6 you'd think Holden would be thinking about a counter attack. The FG F6 is an absolute weapon, will run sub 5s 0-100 all day long. It's one hell of an engine. Ford have also just announced they are gonna soldier on with the I6, instead of moving to a Yank V6 as was planned. Great news as the V6 they had lined up wasn't that flash. They are just gonna engineer the I6 to meet the latest emission regs etc.

That was correct. Goin with the Yank V6 was going to be the most cost effective option, but they have since changed their mind, and will modify the I6 to meet the new and upcoming emission regs. This also means the engine plant will remain in Australia. Retaining the straight six almost guarantees Falcon will stay rear drive for a lot longer too. To make a front drive car that utilises an I6 would require a lot of engineering and modification, money that is better off being spent improving the current set up and future proofing it for years to come. Besides, they have spent years and years of R&D improving the rear drive platform, which would all go to waste. All this in the name of fuel economy.

Why do people put their number plates to the side when running a cooler ?

Is it because they think the plate will hamper the air flow ?
or is it wank factor to show the cooler off ?

Afew of the top drag VLTs keep them in the middle and they run 8s and 9s !

I'd say a few quick cars did it first to make sure they weren't affecting the air getting to the cooler, then EVO6 came out factory with it on the side, then all the pullers decided it was cool, so they did it
