Intruducing my pink vl calais turbo

Hi my name is colin, i have been building a vlct for around 4 years now. the car started out as a standard vl calais turbo white in colour, wolf 3d computer, 7th injector, side mount intercooler and t3/t04 hiflow turbo. It was sitting on 13psi and took down the drags, first run 13.7 the car detonated 3/4 track. So i have been building the car ever since, built motor, custom paint etc. Then i found this calais over in nsw, through the internet. Realised that my car will never be done to this quality i ended up buying the car. The car was built for show only as you can see in the pics, there are alot of things that will need attension before i can bump the power up. As soon as i got the car i took it home and took the standard front brakes off and put my 330mm rotors and 4 pot skyline calipers on it. Then i took it to my mates shop in falcon west coast wheels to put on some nice wheels at which i decided on ve gts 20s which im very happy with. The car has is stock underneath the car apart from 3" exhaust. So i am put koni adjustable coilover suspension on the front and koni adjustables in the rear, all on pedders springs and front camber tops. It has a bone leather retrim with recaro front seats and retrimed rear. Stereo has two 15" sups in the boot which takes up the whole boot, im planning on making a full boot install to tidy it all up. Competition deck with 4" speakers in the front and 6'9 in the rear. The paint is a candy pink over silver which turns alot of heads. The engine bay to me being a mechanic is probably the best part due to the wat it has been done. RB30 turbo motor with mahle pistons and eagle rods, balanced crank, standard cam and clean up of the head. Turbo is a t04e bush bearing with braided oil lines, hi mount turbo manifold ceramic coated with external watse gate and screamer pipe. Intake is a plazmaman plenum and throttle body finished to show standard with custom cooler piping and front mount cooler. Polished alternator, relocated battery to the boot, relocated fuse box under dash, detailed engine bay, with hidden wiring etc. The car over all im happy with there are a fair few things i have to change to get it to the standard that i think it should be at. The gearbox is standard auto atm, so that will have to be built before the boost is bumped up. The computer is a microtech lt8s so i can only do single coil, i will be looking for a decent coil or i might just max out the standard one for now. Injectors are 880cc and standard fuel rail polished. The other thing that will need doing is fuel pump which i am putting bosch 044 pump will jd custom under mount surge tank. I took this car down the drags coulpe of wednesdays ago to see what it will do since i just got it, and i got a 14.2 at which isnt the best but it was running stock boost off the external gate which i would think it will be around 5-6psi. i seriously love this vl i seen it at the drags and got a bit excited
now is wallpaper on my phone haha

Yeah man i will be taking care of it, jonny kept the AMEs so he should still have them, i plan to built the gearbox, bigger fuel pump surge tank, get it tuned, coilovers, adjustable shocks, replace all rubbers underneath, etc

Yeah man thats the other car will be putting it back together soon, standard turbo motor, gearbox, front mount, purple pearl paint redone, then selling it

It isnt the best time but u look at a standard xr6 turbo it wont do any better, the car is only on run in tune so once tuned will be a whole lot better

genki= before u jump on ur high horse ive had alot of cars and raced them and know what times cars should be doin,so what if its an auto and standard boost its far from stock,thats not gonna make a car go quicker cause of a gearbox, if u read whats been done to it and for it to be doin 14s or whatver
i had a vl turbo TBO 666 stock as a rock to but it ran 13s down the quater without the wank factors of intercoolers and boost valves or blow off valves
nowadays,so with the goods it has should be doin better than that!

if you possesed this mythical thing you called 'knowledge' you'd know trying to race a highly modified car, on 5-6psi, is about as efficient as trying to fall UP a set of stairs. At that boost pressure i'd be surprised if it made any more top end power then a standard rb30, and would be a lot laggier and generally **** to drive, especially fast.

on 5-6psi, that turbo wouldnt even be trying, not to mention how poorly the car must run with giant injectors and no boost. To expect results in that state of repair, would be fairly ridiculous.

And im sure once its tuned and more boost is screwed into it, it'll just turn that box to sludge anyway.

But hey, your the 13 second weapon modification expert aye?

yeah knowledge that you dont have... why dont you get off YOUR high horse mate!
if you knew anything, you would have seen genki talking bout the STOCK auto, not an auto in general or standard engine. and so the stock auto has alot to do with it... he said standard auto so im guessing standard converter... which means slow 60's with that turbo and a stocko stall it would takes ages to come on boost, plus on stock boost would mean the mph would be no where near what its capable of. plus the drag of the big wheels etc etc

odviosly when he has done the things he has listed the is going to do to it the set-up will be at its full potenial...

read peoples posts properly before you give it to them mate or else you look like a penis. why u think josh laughed at you.

ps awesome car turbo3l ive seen it around too and i think its sik!
