ohwell. ive been "off-road" for 1year now.... guess its not that bad compared to some

but you guys have to remember i did (pretty) much have a setup ready-to-go....to do potentially 10s..... then i f*cked up big time lol.

LS motors are great arie, i just wonder when they too will become "old and break" ;P

Once its done, if it ever gets done, so long as its a nice streetable car that will pull an 11.999 I'll be happy... VLs tend to break too easily coz of thier age... Hence Im taking a liking to the LS scene.
If I can get an 11 Arie you can mate my wallets copped a beating for 10yrs plus its called a wife and 3 kids

Thats been off the road for a fairly long time, but it will all get there in the end...
Its just the $$$$ been put into it.... Halfway to buying a small apartment (cheap one that is LOL)
But at least i know things are done properly and not half a$sed... Everythings lined up to be an eventful year to come.....(for the wallet )

But yeh the 11 with the ute should be happening in the near future

What shocks are you guys running? anyone with 90/10's up front? I'm still undecided as I don't want it to be too sloppy on the street...

why is it a stuff around, took us about 2 hours to pull them out of the berlina with a trip down to the shops to get a ball joint tool

I just think its a pain compared to other cars. Which way do you do it? We took both struts out completely. In & out + stuffing around with siezed control arm nuts took 4+ hours.... Maybe it will be quicker next time

yeah thats what we did, entire strut.

Is your car going to be andra legal for 10.999 and quicker? Because u'd be spewing if you got banned without the 90/10s and couldnt go back to see if you could go quicker. I'd say set the car up ready to rock and roll first go, mayswell do it properly

I'm hoping for a 10 out of it. At this stage it is not legal to do that pass, I will probably see how much I enjoy racing it as to wether I bite the bullet and make it legal. I'd be fairly happy if it did less than 10.999 without 90/10s, it would probably inspire me to make it legal and have another crack with proper setup

yeah you're right there.. but if you get banned...really it would suck

you would be pretty pissed if you got "11.8 @ 130mph" or something...:P


then again people in the know should be able to figure that the car is a 10second car (120mph being the 'magic number')....especially with a high mph... but even then thats not enough for some.

chris, just have a spare strut for "changeover" if you're going to be racing alot that way less work involved to change it from race to street.
