DYO is a VLT is really hard man. no time for spooling up just gotta try cut a good light and with turbo cars so up and down when leaving the line with no boost it's very hard to predict what you will run.

Last year the auto turbo cars all dialed in around 1 second off what they can actually run. I lost in the final after hitting a .386 redlight on a 13.00 dial in with a car that runs low 12's all day. with my overall time being around 13.2. The guy who won i think he dialed in around 11.2 but he had a few runs after that and was running 10.1's when boosting off the line.

Manual cars have a bit of an advantage if they can just run consistant time. Just gotta cut a good light. really hoping i can make it with my car this year but i dont know if it will be running in time.

Its easy enough to use a handbrake and foot brake to build boost, and it can be built on the first stage light, then nudge foward slowly to stage 2nd light.

Yes the manual guys have an advantage, but this is true drag racing and i love it. All comes back to driver skill, not how long you can hold the transbreak button for. Any way the manual guys have the problem of changing gears a few times too.

Looking forward to this event. Will be there with bells on.

What no grudge runs against me this weekend at the Ballarat drags Morgz?

Pissed that they decided to run Ballarat on the same weekend as this as I was heading to Heathcote. Have to run Ballarat as it's the first round of the Tri series that I want to compete in.
