My white calais turbo project

Well those of you that have read my gold calais project would know that I have put a stop to the gold jet and have brought another car.

I first spotted it on ebay at a cheap price and sounded like a bargain!
I was that keen that I called the guy, and travelled all the way down to Geelong on a wednesday night at 9:00, which ment I didnt get there untill 11:00 at night, luckily the guy works night shift.
I fell in love at first site, but I new that the smart thing to do was to have a good look, ask a lot of questions, and then walk away and think about it good and hard.
I went down there on the saturday with the cash, and had a list a page long of things to look at to make sure it was worth it.
After an hour and a half or so of inspection, I decided it was the right one and realy was a bargain, so I brought it and drove her all the way back home.

When it first pulled up in my driveway it had the left calais eyelid missing and a ****ty hdt grill, so the next day I replaced the eyelid and replaced the grill with a brand new geniune calais grill.
Front end still nees to be re-aligned tho.

So here's the rundown:
Its an original 1987 calais turbo, white over silver.
Only 2 owners, the guy I brought it off had it as a weekend cruiser for the last 5 and half years.
-178,000km's
-3" exhaust from turbo back
-19" rims (dunno what they are I think they're mock up monaro's)
-Lowered all properly with peders springs and all bushes ect done recently
-adjustable panhard rod
and thats all! other than those mods the cars never been modded.

This car drives like a new car, well looked after and it will continue that way.
There are many mods to come on this one, so keep your eyes on this.
Here's a couple of pics Me and a mate took on monday.

As most of you have probably spotted it has a few little bad spots like: R/H/R door has rust above the calais mould, eyelids need aligning, ect.
These are getting fixed up very soon.
Let me no what you guys think!

Got the roady tonight!
Hopefully get the time to go down to vicroads tomorrow and do the transfer.
Then all the fun begins, if all goes well by the end of this weekend, should have cooler on, boost controller all hooked up and 19's back on.

Oh and of course the dose pipe!!

far out that looks like a mess (all pulled apart)
the interior looks awesome, though i'd lose the steering wheel the only aftermarket wheels i like are the era momo hdt hsv style ones. just my opinion though.

so the coolers all bolted up and ready to go?
