P Platers Get Green P's

all i can say is OMG WTF
seriously this world is becoming more f*cked up every day

Vicroads have changed the new P1 P2 plates around, and P platers before July 1st 08 will get sent out green p plates.

From Vicroads Website:
What are the green P plates?
Under the new graduated licensing system, two probationary licences are being introduced. They are the one year P1 probationary licence (red plates) and the three year P2 probationary licence (green plates).

The green P plates are to be used by holders of the P2 probationary licence.

These new probationary licences will commence from 1 July 2008, and replace the current one year probationary licence.

i called and confirmed this
i pretty much called and comfired this world is fu*ckin stupid and now we got to have ugly green plates

Just got this sent to me...

Dear,

Victoria’s new graduated licensing system is introducing new driver licensing rules. These new rules mean that a probationary driver will have to display either a red or green P plate.

If you obtained your probationary licence before 1 July 2008, you will have to change your P plate from red to green.

A green P plate driver has fewer restrictions such as how many passengers they can carry.

To help make this change, VicRoads will be mailing a FREE pair of green P plates to all probationary drivers currently on red P plates.

To make sure you receive your free green P plates, check that the address on your probationary licence card is your current address.

If it is not, go to the VicRoads website to update your address details.

theyve been phasing in all these bull**** laws since july last year
theyre doing some 3 year (or something) plan, changing certain things as they go to make it less confusing lol.

Yeah... the Heading was "Donít miss out on the new green P plates!" they make it sound so exiting. I'm confused... I got my P's March 25th 2008, so does this mean after July 1st 2008, Ill have to put Green P's right? Though how long do I have them on for?

i'll explain it in simple terms

- if you got your p's before JULY 1 2008, all you have to do is display the green p's and whatever the expiry date is on your licence is when you get off your p;s..nothing changes for us apart from the color of the p plate displayed in the car

- if you get your p's after JULY 1 2008 you get shafted and you are on your p's for an extra year + you have restrictions i.e passengers n sh!t..

easy enough?

Yeah great fucken job they are doing... lol

Why couldn't they do all this shit next year when im off my P's all together...

Im confussed as all fuck because they are doing it totally backwards to NSW where, green P = new driver and red P = older driver...

I dont want to fiddle and fuck around getting green P's if its going be 'bizzaro world'...
