Big police operation lapa sunday night

Police impound 8 cars on Sunday night at la-pa
They sat in under cover cars, mini's Magna's etc.Watched everyone do a
burnout then got them on the way out foreshore rd and general homes dr
3 of them were Vl turbo's one had a C&V performace sticker on back
window. It was in the daily telegraph today. They said that 22 cars were pulled
over and 34 defect notices issued. All 8 drivers were first time
offenders meaning there car wont be crushed this time.
Is the crushing law already in effect?
Anyone of the 3 VL impound on this fourm?

Saw that in the paper as well...

Nice silver one with rims on a tow truck, a maroon one with VYSS rims and a white stock-looking calais also being loaded onto towies..

Unlucky boys, but then again you should think twice before doing that shit, especially at a place like la perouse.

They're going farking hard with the defects at the moment, I'm seeing people pulled over with bonnets up all over the place.

I agree with Duz. Lapa is possibly the worst place you could go to do that type of thing, let alone even think of ripping a burnout at a hotspot - one that cops reguarly go to.

Imo they had what was coming to them

There saying that 2nd offence your car will be crushed and 9 months jail
So if your street racing or doing a burnout and a coppa comes there's fat chance anyone with a 2nd offence will be stopping i know i wont be

Fark that sucks hard man.

I reckon it's wrong to lose your licence for 10ks over....it's all too easy to do.

See its due to fucvken gronks like the drop kicks that were doing burnouts that we can't go and hang out.

Dolls Point, Bondi, Lapa, The Rocks...these places now are a no go zone because of dead set ****wits.

For these sort of tools, im all for them watching their cars get crushed.

Wankers.

LOL at run from the cops.

If it isn't your first offense, they will know who you are and will be waiting at your house when you come home.

People who goto lapa just ask for it anyhow, its a **** place to hangout. Wow theres water, come to the bottom of my st theres duck creek come hangout there. And as for the crushing law for doing a burnout, cops can be stupid sometimes, i was going up a ramp at westfields the other day and it had speed humps in my front wheel drive car and the thing screeched and copps got me for doing a burnouts... so now if i brake suddenly and get seen by a cop, does that mean i was doing a burnout? I recon people would rather pull a chase and risk rapping their own cars around a pole or tree or hitting another car themselves, than have it taken away and crushed by someone else. This law is going to cause alot more harm than good i recon. But having said that try and be a good driver and noone should have any problems.

Lapa is a great place to hang out, awesome cars and loads of people... but i'd never ever take my car there! I hate even driving there in a regular car i'm scared that the cops will try to pin some BS fine on me just because they can. Safer to just ride shotgun with someone else imo
