its not staying a manual mate, im going turbo 350 or trimatic for a race box and 4500 stally, also 3.7 gears. I def understand where your comming from though mate however not really meant to be a street racer.

the pics are there for where i ran the wires. I removed the passenger side guard and can them along the inside, just make sure there in condue or some sort of protection. The only hole was cut out by a hole saw just behind the computer and comes out just on the other side of the guard, this is the pic, you can see the hole, i sprayed a white paint over it to protect the metal.

Christmas is all but over and soon the cruising will slow down and ill be pulling the car off the road for some serious work. Ill be posting pics of the new turbo going on soon and the manifold being made. Things ill be fixing...
The ariel goes up and down by itself when you turn the tunes up (i have no idea haha)
- The wirring to the WOLF needs to be cleaned up, the excess wires i didnt use can be removed from plug (only just found out)
- Turbo + gate fitted
- Some security features are to be added to the car (prob wont tell you these )
- Suspension to be pulled out and greased. Bushes, top spring plate, pan hard rod etc. All suspension is new but i think the idiots put it in dry and it squeaks. Anoyes the hell out of me.
- Make custome parcel shelf for bass drivers and tweeters (great article on CT about this) I wont remove any metal from anywhere in this car.
- Adjust exhaust, ever since i re fitted turbo it is touching the body and its driving me nuts !!!!
- Finish cleaning up under bonnet, move air pod to facing down under heated engine bay, remove all remaining wiring and fit bracket on engine.
- Pull seats out and steam clean everything, front and back inside out.
- Do fibre glass boot install.
Anyway guys ill keep all pics for everything and make sure i update it every time something is done.

It not HUGE difference. its just really noticable the way it revs, and the way boost comes on. I think do it but depends on your $$ and how much power u want.

Cleaning up under the engine bay will look a treat, especially when you:
a) get a different intake manifold
b) get rid of the occy strap

And I guess I'll be the cheap labour for all that work?

Hey misk, when are we seeing a thread about the RB30Et LPG conversio in your car?

i think anyway lol
i give up making plans...

grr i dont want to talk about weddings im soo bloody over it mate.
Yer once the wedding is over ill be sinking quiet a bit of money into it.
I raced a 2001 R6 last night while out on a cruise (off public roads of course) I thought i was going to get murdered. He got car length in front through 1st gear, then he went up on back wheel. i Changed to 2nd and overtook him and i kept in front till redline in 3rd and then changing to 4th. At this stage he slowely pulled up next to me and i backed off. I was never going to keep the lead but we sure as hell covered more then 400 meters ..... i had a fair idea of the speed at that stage. I was so impressed !! so was he !! at the next lights he said he was blown away that i just passed him. Had a word with him about his bike. Looked up specs on 2001 R6 and they cover the quarter in 11.5 (depending on rider) so im as happy as dogs balls at the moment. I recon ill get my 12 in street trim yet The cold night air last night was a nice change.

i've seen R1's with just pipes go much quicker than 11.5 down the quarter with a good rider

Yer man, if was a R1 i wouldnt of bothered even when seen was R6 i thought twice but gave it a go, hehe
Here is a shot of the turbo sitting in engine bay. I had to move the housings apart to make it sit for the pics, but measured it up and there is a good couple cm each side when its sitting correctly. The pic is just giving an idea of how big it is in the engine bay... i love it Cant wait to hear it spool ....
Remember that fuse box and all the wiring is now gone. There is nothing on the passengers side of the engine bay. Next on the list over next couple of weeks is batery in boot (i need the weight in the rear for sure!) and remove over flow and washer bottle.

Its not a factory Turbo. I thought i was but was wrong .... Done some number crunching and was very dissapointed. Yes should of done it first but i was as excited as a school boy getting my new car so yer ......
Umm Brett as far as a price I really dont have one. I wont take any less than $12000 but I was looking at fitting the turbo and some larger injectors to bring it up to the 320rwkw mark. Ill see what happens at that stage. If there are offers ill consider them. If not, as long as we can afford this wedding ill prob keep it.
Im curious to know what people opinion is on this to.
After finding out it wasnt an original turbo I came up with the selling idea for that very reason. I guess I really want to be able to say its a turbo .. not just a bodgey job. I know that everything (minus brake master cylinder) has been well and truely exceded past factory specs, but it will always be a "converted CT" ..... does it mater ?
