It only cost me $1400 to get my mini spool out and replaced with LSD supplied and fitted on my VL. Shop around is your best bet, even go to a backyard mechanic hell cheap and they usually give you a warranty on all parts and labour I got 3 months on mine.

Is the paint too late for a cut and polish? Meh long as it's clean sounds like you won't be the only one, it's mostly about quantity at this stage

depends crows feet no you've lost all lustre at that stage. By the looks of your car its a metallic paint? They are always harder to bring up and first to go. I can only tell by looking at the paint really, first things first if it's really bad you gotta do the whole prep thing where you use paint cleaner first then the clay bar then cut and polish then polish

the boot sounds like you might be able to bring up better but by the sounds of it your roof is well and truly gone. Bloody holden took all the lead out of paints by the time the VLs came out which held everything together longer. Same as fords i think.

considering, its a total rebuild, and it was a 320ish rwkw car it isnt something you can do overnight, plus money doesnt grow on trees! when he is ready im sure he will be out, but i know i wouldnt rush a build like that just to keep the ppl on here happy
