This is my HDT Calais Turbo Sport

As i said this is my vl HDT turbo Calais Sport. Well where do i start.... I've owned it since i was 18 hence the plates. For many years i kept it standard and didn't drive it at all. wheres the fun in that. About three years ago i started the build, upped the boost etc not too much, then it blew up. From there i have- Installed
-PAR conrods, CP pistons, New fully machined crank, ported and polished head with stainless vaules with heavy duty stainless springs, wade cam, custom intake manifold, custom hi mount exhaust manifold ( Boost6 ), Gt35/40 turbo, hks 50mm wastegate, full 4" stainless exhaust, ARE intercooler, stainless custom intercoller piping, two GFB Bov's, 25% underdiven fully bonded balancer, 770cc injectors, haltech E11v2 ECU, race prep fully manual c4 atuo with 4500 stall, custom tail shaft and mounts, pro ratchet shifter, VZ slotted disks with polished calipers, 18" Koya mags, custom surge tank in boot with 044 pump, sard fuel reg, custom fuel rail ( injectors online ).

There's probably more that i forgot but you get the picture. I carried out the entire build myself excluing making of manifolds and exhaust to keep costs down . APC in brisbane did the tune.
At the moment on a run in tune ( only sort of finished, if there is such a thing, 3 weeks ago ) it made 320hp at the wheels on 10psi. and of course the will be plenty more with a full tune and 20 odd psi up it's ass. We will soon see. Hope you all Like it.

Well that's right it is his car, but I'd want to keep the HDT stock, but hey that's just me. Mind you, that's one hot engine rebuild!

now that is fucken nice...
agree'd with the comment above, doesnt get much better.

for the people saying it should of been left stock - he said the build started 3 years ago...
they were still a rare car back then yes, but not as rare as these days, nor did they go for the same price tag back then.
still a very nice example of a tuff car.

thanks for all the comments. i don't get on here too often. but as for the centre consol it was all that i could come up with not sure if i like it myself. Though it cost me bugger all. i made it out of play doh and fiberglass! i know it sounds strange but it was relitively cheep and easy and it sort of looks ok. as for the fuse box relocation thers not alot of advise i can give just get a copy of the wiring diagrams and go from there. it was one of the sh%tist jobs i carried out. first of all i'm an electrician. I put the relays all togeter where the original euc was. it used a plastic connections box from **** smiths or somthing like that and mounted them in there ill get some photos if people like. as for the fuses i got a fuse pannel out of a VR i think and made up a few brackets to make it sit where they did on VC's VH's ect ( near your right knee in the drivers seat ) .... The problem wih seperating the relays from the fuses was that alot of wires needed to be extend or renewed which isn't that bad an idea as most of you know the wiring in the vl's is getting on a bit. I dont recommend attempting this unless you sort of know a bit about how it all works. Good things to know are that most of the pink wires that are large type main feed wires to fuses etc are actived by accessories, brown for ignition and red for constant power. this only a guide get yourself a mutimeter you will figure it out. if you want to know more or want some pics just ask. give me a while to reply though.

And as for wrecking a hdt, i do know what you mean and at times i do wish i had used a base model though it's good and all to have a hdt but why have it if you not going to drive it and enjoy it and why drive it if if dosen't f#cking hammer.

I totally agree with that. You may have limited your resale of the car, but who buys cars as investments

If having to totally stock car gets your rocks off (which I know it does for some people on here) then that's all good. But some people like having modified cars, and a modified HDT is just cooler

I reckon there's 17-20g's worth of car there, it's fairly neat, has a hell setup and is a genuine HDT LE.
