was a bit to hot today, but stockvlt got some nice videos, PET boys did very well once again, looking very impressive with a few 9 sec pass's had some small trans fluid leaks but all fixed, rajabs and JPC had some traction problems, on there first runs, i left before seeing any other runs, so not sure how they went, was extremely hot, the yellow PET car had a very nice NA plenum setup running. and i witnessed AEROVL off forums perform an 11.6 at 127mph on first pass, looked like alot more to come from this car, good stuff guys, all in all was a good day, a bit to hot though

Had a great time, but i couldnt communicate with anyone as the mobile network at heathcote is pretty crap to say the least.

Inflyte, i gave ya a messsage or two, but there was no reply. I was wearing the official CT Tshirt, in the blistering hot, but it was good to chat to potential members of the site who had no clue about the ct community.

Heathcote park is a great place to go, and i enjoy going there as you get to rub shoulders with the owners and most people have their bonnet up to show every day people the business end of their cars.

The heat was bareable after a few water fights. Had a ****ing kick ass time and i just got back

I turned up around 3pm as to pass most of the heat and stayed till the trophys were handed out.
Rajab and a maroon VL from JPC fought it out in the final for the VL title which was a trophy and $1000 and the Rajab VL walked it in with an easy 9.40@148 with big traction probs but the track seemed off all day as most VL's there were having drama's.
Dont know what happened to all the other quick VL's as i didnt see any race but the heat was excessive and im sure quite a few would have had major issues in the heat.
Also heard a couple of guys chatting about PANNIC being sold to the Bresciani brothers as the owner is sick of spending on it anymore maybe 1 of the guys from there can comment on this, also noticed it has now been fitted with the same intercooler as Debono and Trtovacs cars and is also now fitted out with a rollcage.Jerry

Me and a few other boys made the trip from Adelaide, and i must say it was a hot welcome.
Like someone said before, all the VLT's had problem issues, but still put in some good times. We all had a good time, but the heat took its toll on us,especially after the 7hr drive over. The things you do, to see the best VLT's in the land!!
Was impressed with the Rigoli WRX hatch, running a new record i believe of 8.94.
Cant wait for thr Nationals here in Febuary now.

Me and FLWLSS had a good day but it was ****en hot as which didn't help many cars run quick times, good to see most big VL shops have some cars there, didn't see any good numbers being run due to weather, we left mid afternoon so may have been better numbers ran later at night

IT'S GREAT TO SEE YOU WERE REMANDED ON BAIL IN TIME TO GET TO HEATHCOTE, WE WOULD HAVE MISSED YOUR TRULY INTRAWLING AND ACCURATE REPORTS.

ps. next time it may be a good idea to stay away from lygon street before a big race.

Yes i must agree they looked to be fairly similar in the engine & tyre department pole driver in fact they looked very much the same as another companys engines whom i wont name so i dont know whats the go there.
Dont know about the spark plugs, methanol & NOZ situation though but if they are using it on this car then its certainly not showing as i did not see it complete a pass all day, maybe the bottle was empty or it blew the welds on the intake(Fast and Furious)
Look for yourself.

Hey there boy's,

I got back myself last night after a 12 hour trip each day (24 hour's travelling time in 48 hour's!), and what can I say, you Melbourne boy's know how it's done!
Costa a.k.a darkstar, sorry champ I couldn't get through to you on the day, as, like you mentioned, mobile phone service was non-existent over in Heathcote, as you would've read in my S.M.S.
The temperature was sitting on a scorching 40 degree's pretty much all farking day, so it was expected that car's weren't gonna be running p.b's on the day.
I went down with the T.R.P crew, as my mate was debuting his WRX.
Unfortunately, the day wasn't bringing out the best in the car's we took down, but the car's still ran some good number's.

The Hyundai Accent went through for a 9.5 second pass, before the engine spun a bearing straight after, meaning it was out of the event.
The ex-MR WRX Subaru WRX wagon was running consistent 9.4's all day, but the excess heat wasn't allowing the 8 second pass the boy's were chasing.
The XSIV4S Subaru WRX bested with an 11.5, but was misfiring in the upper rev range, as well as drama's with the fresh experimental auto tran's holding it back from running quicker.
The DVU55Y Subaru WRX ran a best of 11.9, with the car refusing to hold more than 20 psi boost, but still remained respected, being the debut for the car and driver.

As for the VL Turbo's, it was unbelievable to actually see these jet's in person, with some of the car's on show stunning the crowd's all day. Some of which I seen up close:

PANNIC
VLBT1
JPC Calais
GMHTBO
MACJET
HIFLOW
RAJAB Calais
TPSCRT
and the list goes on............
As for the track itself, I couldn't believe how relaxed the attitude was at Heathcote, with everyone conversing about their car's etc etc.
I could go on forever, but I'll cap it with a big thumb's up to everyone in attendance, as it was one of the best event's I've ever been too.
