cheers was making 185 @ 12 psi then made 212 on
14psi after got it tuned. last night put it on my
mates brand new DD 4WD dyno just for fun and
made 227.7 on same boost...

reckon it made more coz it had correct tyre pressure
(apparently makes heaps of difference on readings??...)
and was strapped down properly compared to 2WD one previous...

the breather from rocca cover, for now just go into
bottle till i get proper catch can. before only the
rear one did and the front one back into the manifold...
but after giving it heaps it spewed white smoke
5 secs or so after backing off....

so blocked off the manifold and ran them both into
the bottle...after the 3 runs last night found oil all
over the side of the block from the dip stick...

i persume its not breathing enough and prob get
some dash fittings welded where the brass fittings are??..

something out....just after a power run??

will organise a CT dyno day in the future when he gets
settled with it etc

Cheers

Is it a built or stocko motor? They all breathe...You can crimp the top of the dipstick tube slightly so's it dont pop out no more...my rocker had been drilled and tapped to take big (I think) 1/2" fittings...not sure on dash size fitting...big...Lol.

built... done just over 1000k's give or take...got bottom end rebulit new bearings, shot peened rods, linished crank etc, rebore, hypertec's and rebuilt head...

will get some dash (something biggish) fittings on it asap....

did you just crimp it so its slightly oval shaped and tighter fit?? guessing with dip stick out ??....

Yeah just a slight crimp, you can do it with the dipstick in as they are rubber on the top section (the seal) and less chance of completely fucking the tube...not much is needed to get the sucker to stay in.

Are you running aftermarket ecu?

If not then there isnt alot to tune other than check your timing and make sure your afm is reading 500ohms across the 2end pins.

As far as dyno's go i wanna get mine on a dyno soon, curious to see what it makes with my setup, id hope to see 200ish rwkw

he's only had it for week or some so no real hard tuning of any thing yet mainly power runs...

we both have microtechs and will be gtting into to it asap... but for now i wouldnt wanna send anyone down there expecting to get a tune done...not yet any way... but deff in the near future.

he has microtech t3/t4 bb on his rb 20 and gtr injectors so that will be his guine(spelling??) pig and will be learing on that spose...

he has the time so its just a matter of it...

my current tunner is steve at jazmac at mt barker...bit far... but two of other friends go there and he's top bloke good tuner and well priced

have also heard as wyndup said boost worx, or tillbrooks are also good apparently...
