Will it fit a rb20 box or is it too big?

Mx7 boxes have a 10inch clutch where the rb20 box and the MF5 both have 9.5"

so i would say no

well then either you measured in wrong or how did you get it to start? The turbo starter motor would struggle to reach the teeth on the flywheel. And the n.a ones dont fit in the mx7 box. Are you sure it is an mx7 box?

i thought the same thing. i just bought a jim berry 3900Ib clutch with chrome moly flywheel which is 9.5" my old one is a vlt 10". the flywheel ring gear was the same diameter and spacing. so i'm half way between putting the box back in. let u know at end of week if it works. but according to my measurements it should work.

cool let me know how you get on, i fitted a 9.5" flywheel and clutch to a mates old mx7 and when yu went to turn the key you could hear the starter slipping of the teeth. Maybe with a new flywheel you will get a closer engagement (new teeth as apposed to 20yr old worn ones)

the mechanic measured it in front of me and it was 9.5inch and it is a MX7 box im 100% sure about that cause i bought it from some one off here and got it installed, i needed a turbo shifter and tailshaft, right angle speedo drive thing and a speedodrive and cable. im runnig a N/A flywheel thow it was drive in fine when it was on the road not one sound when it started or driveing.

ben the chromemoly 9.5" flywheel worked with the mx7 starter motor
Thought it might after my dodgy measurements

the clutch fits up to rb30/20/25 but the pressure late has different holes for rb30det not sure if it will fit a 20 gearbox best to call a workshop and ask them first thanks
