Obsolete OEM Spares parts

Hi guys ,

I was chatting to a mate with an FJ20 and we got into the topic of OEM spare parts that are getting near impossible to obtain for older cars. I'm not sure if we have people on here that are in the know when it comes to this but what will happen in the future when one day you can't simply buy a standard Vlt ecu ?

Will it be ok to run aftermarket turbos computers injectors etc And not get hassled by the EPA or police?

What do you guys think?

well every single VL came out with one, so they aren't exactly a rarity, they don't really wear out either so to speak. I think like a lot of things, the price will just go up for spares.

Like right now, you could buy all the genuine brand new parts to probably make a VL from scratch, people have new parts locked away, but it will cost you a lot.
