333 stroker BLOWN 6/71

what specs would i rebuild a 333 stroker to suit a 6/71 blower?
crank? pistons? heads? etc etc
the 333 is getting a little tired, the car has a twin 3inch exhaust with tri-y headers.

what fuel system would i run?
would a T5 be able to support the power?
CLutch chioce?

im not after big power, 400 rwhp.
andkeeping a budget in mind?

who in the melbourne area would specialize in blowing a 333 stroker?

ANY HEAP WOULD BE APPRECIATED
thanks in advance
jason..

mate, 400rwhp is big power

and if your thinking of building a roots blown holden engine, forget the budget.

and im tippin a t5 would last about 10 seconds.
maybe a t56 if your real keen on a manual

i didnt think it would be that hard to achieve.. i stand corrected.

i didnt think it would cost that much.
how much would you reckon it would cost for a blown 6/71 308?
puting out 350 - 400 horses?

yeah i want to keep it manual, every1 has auto's
do something different, try and hunt down a t56 from a gts maybe

I dont mean to be rude mate, but if you do some searching on this forum, especially in the V8 section you will find HEAPS of useful information as the questions have been asked before with lots of details.

Each day you have a new idea and new thread regarding it, might save yourself some time by looking around first.

the blower kit alone for a holden engine is about 6.5gs alone, thats not including twin dp carbys.

I wouldnt be trusting a std. 308 crank and rods with 400rwhp either, might as well get a quality 355 stroker kit, from say COME or eagle.

Youve got all your machine work on the heads and block, your valve train, the fuel system and unless your handy with the tools youll have to pay someone to put it all together.

You could probably 'slap' a roots blown 308 together, but i wouldnt see it lasting very long

Im not gunna lie, ive never built one, ive seriously looked into it. Id say your looking at 15gs give or take to do it right.

someone correct me if im wrong

How much money do you have to spend and whats your current setup. Building any sort of blown V8 manual with a reliable 400rwhp will cost upwards of $20k

i dont have a current set up atm, other than a 5.0 ute.. but im getting rid of that..

I amlooking at buying my mates 333 stroker VK 5 speed tri-y headers and i think a 3inch exhaust.
im thinking if i do buy it, i sell off the motor and start with a fresh block?

If it were me I'd be looking at rebuilding a VN-VT EFI 5L with forgies with an under bonnet blower and either a Getrag, or T56 manual. On 12psi you should make around 300rwkw. You can put that setup in any VB-VL fairly easily and it’ll go hard

$1,500 - VN 5L motor
$5,000 - rebuild 5L with forgies
$10,000 - V2 blower (or similar) with 12psi kit, cooler, fuelling, tune
$6,000 - Gearbox, clutch, flywheel, diff
+ Labour to put it all in the car???
