whats in involved in putting a 6/71 blower on to a 350 chev?

whats specs would the engine have to be rebuilt to?

is it a pricey conversion?

The blower set up will cost you around $7000 or so.

Its pretty simple. You need a blower manifold, the blower, belt, carbs etc.

Generally speaking you would run a slightly lower compression engine but some are around running 10:1 comp but only a tiny amount of boost.

A friend is just about to finish one on a 350 with dart heads, mechanical injection. Should make around 600hp without leaning on it.

they just look and sound so mean..

where can you buy the kits from ?

a mate has a 333 stroker, might be thinking of buying it..
whats needed to strap a 6/71 to it?
fuel system? etc etc

Do people run 6/71 manuals?

If you are paying 7k for a blower kit for a chev you are getting severely ripped off. Chris Mills Performance only charge 4k minus carbies and he's a rip off, VPW actually have a sale on chargers atm, not sure how much but, you'd have to ring and ask.

If your mate has a 333, that isn't exactly a chev engine...

Don't forget the rest of your mods and strengthening of diff, gearbox etc etc you'll need a good ignition system, good fuel delivery system, toughened box, nice strong diff, then you got things like (if auto) stall converters and shift kits, or you can look into lockers for the diff, brakes and suspension should be upgraded etc etc as mentioned many times in many threads power = $$$ and the more you want the more $$$ you need since everything needs to looked into

blower and carbs=5000k
new crate 350 = 2900
dizzy,cam,balancer,sump and other accecorys= about2k
its just a social ski boat will only have about 450HP, more just for looks as only running small boost as a stock engine.
