What would be better

Just curious which would be a better combo.
An RB25DET with a GT30/40 on 24 psi
An RB30/25DET with GT35/40 on 18 psi?

Wondering which would be better for the following:
Outright power...
Throttle response...
Torque...

Lets assume both engines are running identicle inlet & exhaust manifolds, cams, pistons, valves etc. so we have something to go on.

On all 3 the RB35/30 is going to be far better. Some will argue, then some more will ask you why there isn't the RB20, 26 and maybe even an eco tec head there as well. Then some will tell you that SOHC is the only way to go, then some will tell ya that their brothers sisters cousins fully sik boy friend KNOWS the truth, but he doesn't

okay if you had the 2 motors with a decent bottom end and head work...I beleive the 25/30 would be better, even on 18psi, it should in theory make what the 25 does on 24psi...or if it doesnt.. the 25/30 will be a few HP short.

throttle response...lol...3ltr vs 2.5ltrs?
torque...lol...see above

not having a go at RB25s, theyre great motors...and everyone likes to convert to them (imports and vls etc). but you just cant beat the RB30DET

bang for buck deffinately the rb25 with gt30/40... ultimate throttle response and it would still make 300rwkw comfortably.

throttle response?

wouldnt it be better with the 30DETs "up and go" attitude, compared to the 25 which would have a "little bit" more lag?

See and this is what I'm talking about ...... stupid uneducated opinions that are just wrong.
Take 1 atmo RB30 from a wrecker $100
Take 1 e bay RB25 DOCH setup $1000
This equals $1100 .........
Compare this to a RB25 $2000 at least
Less stroke (unlike some of the idiots on here) = less torque
More power ?? Bigger turbo + bigger engine ... you do the math
Better response ?? Again more cubes
Better torque ?? Torque is just a stupid persons way of asking is it responsive.
OR heres a better idea. Instead of asking the keyboard warriors on here whats a better setup go and see an educated mechanic that actually does this type of work for the CORRECT opinion. They can show you pretty pictures and draw you happy faces and may even get you a can of coke and a bag of lollies. Ask 6BOOST or GONEIN7 or BOOSTN but FFS don't just put a thread up in here like the million stupid ****ing threads asking what small intricate changes would do to an engine and what the dyno curve would look like ! All your getting is peoples opinions and unless there is a single person here who has owned + got dyno sheets to both of these EXACT combos your just going to get a whole lot of useless dribble.

psiwog you really are not all there ay? GONE IN 7 is using a gt55 with a 2j boostn is using a gt47 on a 26/30 with massive cams. i dont think he uses anti lag/ 2 step off the line so how would these cars have anything to do with this guys thread?

you wont go wrong with a rb25 great motor and really get goin up round the 4,500-6,000 rpm mark
but nothing wrong with a rb30 either

Ive built a couple RB25s, had 3 VLs only 1 was a RB30/25. PERSONALLY the 25/30 was superior in all aspects - EVEN fuel economy. With the same mods the 25/30 had 110 more rwkw in top end, was better off the line, reved harder and just nicer to live with.

Anyway im off Ive said what I have to - Have fun people
