Forged Turbo RB30 engine

Hey Everyone,

Ok so I have another engine up forsale which again needs assembly, I bought this engine due to the one I was getting build was getting done by someone who shall remain nameless and just screing everything up.

Anyway I bought this as a complete bottom end and head but just needed the head to be put on but after taking it to a repratable engine builder he informed me that the person who put this together didn't measure it correctly and needs a little bit more machining or possibly even another block depending on how you are, hence why I'm now just going a 2j (sorry ab out the rant just realy over it)

So the engine has the below items:

- All machine work done (would need another 2-3 though out of the bores to componsate for forged pistons as the builder only machined it to suit cast pistons and didn't allow for expansion).
- Line bored (this is were it gets a matter of opinion, the engine builder that inspected the block does't like line boring, he said it could still be used but he wouldn't do it)
- forged Wiesco pistons and rings
- Spool rods with arp bolts
- ACL race series bearings
- Aparently a reco'd oil pump (have receipt but I can't tell)
- ARP Fly wheel bolts
- ARP Head studs
- Gates racing Timing belt
- Cometic head gasket
- Crow Tx2 cam
- Ferrera oversized stainleass steel valves
- Ported head
- Another standard turbo crank that has been nitrided and ready for final grind

That's all I can think of for now, this engine is still usable but as mentioned would need to be power honed for clearence and decked 10 thou and would be able to be put together.

All parts are brand new never used and have recipts, the engine will also come with every piece of rb30 gear I have.

I'm chassing SOLD will post at buyers expense, this is just what the engine cost me, not including the timing belt, the head gasket and the cost of inspection.

If there is any questions let me know, due to me going into hospital tomorrow I won't be able to get anyone to look at it till next week, can maybe arrange something on the weekend but will see how we go.

Open to reasonable offers guys, will also consider seperating the head and block if i get buyers for both.
Pistons can be used for twin cam application.

pm sent to VLCT88, just to clarify with the seperating, I'll consider spliting the bottom end with all parts and just the head, that's it, no idividual parts like pistons, rods etc.

Would do the short motor for $2500 and the head for $1500 or there abouts will work something out depending on if someone wants the head gasket, head studs and timing belt which would sway the prices of course.

So the head is right to bolt straight on? It doesn't need to be machined again or anything?

Hey mate, yes the head should be right to go, its all assembled and ready to go as far as im aware.
In saying that, seeing as i bought it and didnt get it done myself i cant garantee it a 100%, i can only go off what ive been told.

Ok everyone, I want the space in my garage and I want this stuff gone, so I'm dropping the price to $3000 firm, no lower, and this is fro everything NO SEPERATING, this is cheap for just the parts alone considering you pay around 2500 to get a head done like this.

That's a fair comment, in saying that though, to get 3 thou out of the bores will only require a power hone so that's not a really big job, everything can still be used and assembled the exact same way as before. the line boring is a complete mater of opinion realy so it depends on who you take it to, just ask a decent engine builder and see what they say.
Like mentioned though, to get a rebuild kit with the exact same parts are around $2100 new for rods pistons bearings studs, the parts I have are still new never been used, and have all been assembled (pistons on rods bearings etc) and balaced so even if you were to machine up your block you're still saving money, then ad up the cost of getting a head built, oil pump and cometic head gasket.
So even if you just used it for the parts your still infront.
I could part everything and make the same money but really just want it gone in one hit, or if someone wants the head for $1500 with head studs and timing belt I'll let the bottom end stuff go for $1500 but must have a buyer for the head first.

Hey everyone, I will consider parting the items out if I get a buy for the block or head.
Bottom end with rods, pistons, bearings, oil pump etc - $1500
Head with everything and a spare head - $1200
Head studs (not used still in box) - $150
Cometic head gasket (still in box) - $150
Gates performance timing belt kit (still in box) - $100

Will only sell the small items once the bottom end or the head goes.
