can any one help...??

hey guys, i just bought my first car (1987 vl calais) and i dunno if its a series 1 or 2 i think its series 2 coz of the interior but im not sure does any one kno how i can tell ?????

do the head rests have holes in them, or solid fabric?

do the seats have buttons or no buttons..

yeah i looked that and it doesnt really tell me im pretty sure mine is series 2 though... i have buttons and i have black door handles and i have solid head rests.. ill put up some pics

Yep S2, your headrests are also extendable about an inch or more

ok cool thanks for that, i was hoping it was coz i got told that you cant turbo a series 1 because it doesnt havesome holes drilled out in the engine or something like that.. is that right ? ? thinking of whacking a turbo in mine later on...

u can still turbo the series 1 engines its just a bit more of a hassle

The series two blocks have the feeds for the turbo pre-drilled and tapped and just have bolts sitting in there where as the series one blocks u can see where the holes are meant to be they just arnt there. But looks like u got lucky with the series 2 block anyway

sure is, for that price you can now afford a good fuserail upgrade so you
wont have as many headlight and related electrical problems

god leave the poor kid alone, hes just got a calais and ur already telling him all the problems hes probably gunna have with it

haha

probably wouldnt hurt to upgrade ur fuse rail but

best of luck with it, pretty good for 1 grand

haha yeah dont tell me all the problems ill just ask whats wrong when it happeneds lol.. yeah well i thought so but i still got 3 months till i get my P's so cant really drive it much at the moment
