Ex Cop Motors..

Hey guys, i got 2 questions...

1) I just put a 308 motor in my ute, and apparently it's been hotted up a bit and it's an ex cop car motor from a VK (although it has blue rocker covers?!?)...I was just wonering if there's anything on the block of the motor that could tell me if it really is an ex cop motor as I don't own the VK it came out of (mechanics next door own it...)

2) Does anyone know what mods ex VK cop cars had done to them and what kw they came out with standard with cop mods? Cheers.

i thought intercepter engines were exactly the same as every other turbo or v8 and them having more power or a chip was a myth....????

they still dont have a chip. they just have a higher diff ratios so they get up and move quicker hence people assume they have a chip. i have friends at holden and in the force that say this is all.

Sweet, What's this chip supposed to be? Some kind of "super" chip that makes them go faster? Sorta like the Peter Brock polarizer?!

Cheers for the info mate.
