Is anyone using Tuff Mounts? Otherwise what are the best mounts to use in a vl that's getting a LS turbo conversion?

i had tuff mounts. be ok for single turbo. just moved rack over man

Cheers. What would be the strongest ones you'd recommend? It's a single turbo setup, but aiming for a bit of power.

Also what relocation kit did you use Hoon?

I've used Vs Kframe , Vl manual rack , tuff mounts , Cae starter conversion .

For sale - ls1/2/3 conversion - custom extractors, custom engines mounts, cross member for th400/th350, modded k frame from vn v8, vl manual steering rack and shaft - $2000 ono - 0431 263 785 for info - selling due to sale of vl separately

When doing an LS conversion and you want to run an old stye auto trans behind it (eg. TH400) does it matter what engine loom and computer you start with? Can you use the auto loom and computer? Or is a manual loom and computer required?

Either loom is fine. You'll be removing any wires going to the gearbox anyway.

If you're using a T400, tune will need to be altered anyway. Either ECU.

So you have to do a starter motor relocation if you want to run power steering? But standard starter is fine with manual steering? Am I right? I would rather not relocate it but I want power steering.

even non power steering doesn't clear the starter motor..... so you can go either way with it I got no power steering in mine but I repositioned the steering mounts and it cleared

I've bought Pacemaker conversion headers and I've read they're designed to suit starter on driver side. I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks when I put the motor in..
