Autronic Help

Hey I know it's not in the right section but hoping to get someone's help promptly..

Having some spark issues with my Autronic - wondering if there is anyone with an Autronic who can supply a picture and outer diameter of the Autronic chopper disc in their VL.

Is anyone running the Mitsubishi distributor from an R31 with the Autronic chopper disc? This is the setup I have and the chopper disc supplied by Autronic does not fit the r31 CAS.

Thanks

I read somewhere on here you can buy the chopper discs for the R31 style distributors from Autronic.

I currently have a VL distributor running with my Autronic and have looked into fitting a 31 distributor but need to buy another chopper disc.

Yeah I spoke to Ian at Autronic who explained for the Nissan (Mistbushi) Distributor you would need a VG30 50mm chopper disc rather than the RB30 54mm one. Anyway Distributor issues aside I am fairly confident it is all sorted. The only thing still unclear is where exactly the chopper disc is to sit since there is no flat edge on the mounting hole in the centre like the standard VL chopper disc. Ah well!

Microtech, ha!

Glad you got it sorted.

The previous owner changed the CAS on mine and had the same issue with the chopper disc not having a flat spot. It took him many attempts get the disc positioned right so it would even start. He ended up limping it down to the workshop who originally fitted the Autronic and they sorted it.

Has anyone wired up the 500R CDI?
Did you have the "Power Sel" connected to an O/P or earthed?
