help: fookin ball joints

ok i am at the end of my patience here
anyone got any experience removing ball joints
have put enough force and bashing into these things to shift a football stadium but it wont pop out,
anyone got a ball joint remover? do they even work
think this car is getting burned

i tried with a ball joint removing tool, wedged it in and bashed the absolute **** tryin to seperate them an no go. i dood who i got the tool off came round one saturday mornin and mum said it took him 5 mins to get two strut towers off the car.

moral of this story is they do work, just u gotta know where to hit em.

My flat mate had one of those butane blow torches (dunno why) and I used it to heat the strut around the joint and two wacks later, out it came. I had belted the living snot out of it before that with no avail but.
One came off easy - I hit both ends with mallets at the same time. The shock helps separate them.

thanks dont think i can drum up a blow torch, had visions of holding cig lighter on for a while
think ill whack it back together and take it to the pros

Don't do that! A blow torch thingo from the hardware store is like $10-$15. Heaps cheaper than getting some other bum to do it. Just heat it up and give it a wack, then heat some more till it comes out. (Try not to make it glow)

doh just put car back together
have to take car in anyways for to get bushes pressed into control arm then again after i put them back in for wheel align, ive got the ****s with it and just as happy to pay anyways save two trips also
